Avengers vs X-Men Marvel Snap Season

The March 2024 season of MARVEL SNAP is called "Avengers vs. X-Men" and will be released on March 5th. A new set of cards will be released this season, including Hope Summers, Pixie, Cannonball, Mockingbird, and War Machine. Moreover, you can expect various rewards with the Premium Season Pass, such as new variants for Magneto, Iron Man, and Hope Summers, new cardbacks, locations, even a new Cyclops emote, and much more.

Season Cards

Hope Summers

After you play a card here, you get +1 Energy next turn.

Avengers Vs X-Men's season pass card is Hope Summers. Hope Summers is a 3-Cost with 4-Power that states After you play a card here, you get +1 Energy next turn. She was referenced to be helpful with cards that will allow her to trigger her ability multiple times, such as Kitty Pride and Nightcrawler. Remember Silky Smooth? She could make the next rendition of that type of decklist, but now, it involves cards you want to ramp up to. Maybe we can call it Smooth Hopeium? I hope she shakes up the metagame in a positive way! See what I did there. Sheesh, I am starting early.

Pixie

On Reveal: Shuffle the base Costs of all cards in your deck that started there.

Pixie is releasing alongside the new season and is a 2-Cost with 1-Power. Pixie is an On Reveal that Shuffles the Costs of all cards in your deck that started there. The insane highs of getting a 0-Cost Card that was initially 6-Cost countered with the lowest of lows when the opposite seems like a theory crafter's dream to best exploit Pixie's On Reveal. I am intrigued how Pixie turns out, especially being released alongside Hope Summers.

Mockingbird

Costs 1 less for each of your created cards in play.

Mockingbird is releasing in the Avengers vs X-Men season. Mockingbird is a 5-Cost with 9-Power card that Costs 1 less for each of your cards in play that didn't start in your deck. Cost reduction is usually a strong mechanic in Marvel Snap and it's will be nice to see Mockingbird paired up with her S.H.I.E.L.D friends and Moon Girl.

Cannonball

On Reveal: Move the highest-Power enemy card here away. If you can't, destroy it with a Rock.

Avengers and X-Men, can I please have your attention. I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying new story. I need all of you to stop what you're doing and listen. Cannonball! Cannonball is an On Reveal that Moves the highest-Power enemy card here away. If you can't destroy it with a Rock. I am concerned about this card's viability at a 5-Cost. With tech cards that shut him down seamlessly, I don't see where he can make the impact you hope he would. There is that word hope again.

War Machine

Ongoing: Nothing can stop you from playing cards anywhere.

War Machine is finally here! The longtime datamined card is finally set to come to the game during the last week of the season. Unfortunately, he is a Series 5, which, if this stands, there hasn't been a Series 4 release since Miek. War Machine's ability is On Reveal: Unit the end of next turn, nothing can stop you from playing cards anywhere. Remember when Professor X was running wild in the meta? I don't think he will do that after adding War Machine to Marvel Snap.

Season Pass Variants

On Reveal: Move all enemy 3 and 4-Cost cards to this location.

Ongoing: Your total Power is doubled here.

After you play a card here, you get +1 Energy next turn.

If you are keeping score at home, Magneto has 13 variants in the game, and Iron Man has 17. They must be incredibly popular or something.

New Locations

Your next play here adds its Power to the top of your deck.

Could you imagine if they didn't change this location and it returned the same?

3 and 4-Cost cards cost 1 less.

Utopia? More like Silver Surfer's Wonderland.
