Firehair's achievements are nothing short of incredible. She was the very first avatar of the Phoenix Force, one of the earliest known mutants, the founder of the Prehistoric Avengers, and—just to top it off—she was raised by actual wolves. Is there anything she can’t do?
Firehair is a red-haired mutant with extraordinary telekinetic and telepathic abilities. Sound familiar? She’s essentially a prehistoric version of Jean Grey. The comparison is spot-on, considering both have served as hosts for the Phoenix Force—one of the oldest and most powerful cosmic entities in the Marvel Universe. It seems the Phoenix has a type, as it has also chosen Rachel Summers and Hope Summers as its avatars who also have red hair and telekinetic abilities. Maybe it's a bloodline kind of thing?

This is the card I’ve been waiting for all season!
At first glance, Firehair’s stats don’t seem too special—just a 2-Cost, 3-Power card like many others. But her effect? That’s where the real magic happens. While she’s on the board, every time one of your cards with an On-Reveal effect is destroyed, Firehair will retrigger that effect. There’s no limit to how many times she can do it, making her value go through the roof? Do caves have roofs?
To make the most of Firehair’s incredible ability, we need to choose the right On-Reveal cards to sacrifice. The best candidates for this tragic yet rewarding role are cards with powerful effects but weak stats. There are plenty to pick from, but here are my top choices!
The Hood is my favorite card, so any new way to play this silly little guy is a win in my book!
Now, you might be wondering—how do we actually destroy those On-Reveal cards? Well, I have to give a special shoutout to Misery. She’s a unique card that straddles both On-Reveal and Destruction synergies, making her tricky to fit into most decks. Until now, that is.
With Firehair’s debut, that’s all about to change. These two are a perfect match, and I honestly can’t imagine running one without the other. Their synergy is just that good!
We also have some other destruction pieces that could fit in nicely with Firehair, although they wouldn’t be as amazing as Misery. Carnage is great due to his cheap cost. Attuma could work nicely since he’ll be able to destroy a card per turn without you having to do anything else. Lady Deathstrike is often a surprise for your opponent and a boom to you. Killmonger can strike your opponent’s precious 1-Costed cards while retriggering your sacrificial lambs. There are plenty of ways to experiment, but no matter how you build it, Firehair is going to bring some serious heat!
Firehair could potentially cause a resurgence of the Hammerbros archetype. Gather your Mjolnirs and your Stormbreakers into a location only to shatter them to pieces with Misery and Firehair on the very last turn for an explosion of power never seen before. That is a resounding three times activation of the Hammers. Such power would bring tears to Odin’s good eye.
As always, whenever a new Destroy card shows up, the stocks on denial skyrockets. So, be prepared for Armor or Cosmo trying to stop you on your tracks while you try your Firehair Combos. This means that it might be hard to gauge how good Firehair will actually be since a lot of people will be playing counters to what she does. It's a good thing that Surtur and Shuri decks have slipped off of the Meta for now.
With all that info, let me give you some decks for you to try her out. I promise not to list any Mill decks.

Dualgloves's Day One Firehair Decks
Broken Hammers
I got Beta Ray Bill last week and I am finally gonna put him to use. We are trying to use the Firehair Hammer potential to the max with this list without becoming too vulnerable by using Magik or Wong. Demons and Hammers should be more than enough to win against your opponent. Mobius is here to stop the Gorgon Tax on our created cards.
DESTRUCTION
Make many Nimrods and win the game, simple as that. I love Nimrod and Firehair allows me to experiment some more. We have so many weird shenanigans we can pull off with this deck. The easiest path to win would be to play Shuri, follow her up with Nimrod by turn 5, and on the last turn play Venom and Grandmaster for a surprising amount of points. If Firehair is on the field, all of your tricky plays can get even more insane.
I Used the Cards to Destroy the Stones
Do you think triggering Thano’s Stones twice would be good? How about three times? We can do just that with Joaquin and Firehair. Not only our thanos could possibly cost 3. We’ll also draw so many cards! With the added benefit of making Death or Mockingbird cheap. This deck might need some sanding down but it could be great.
Gwen Must Die
Just cooking something weird. I want to figure out if Attuma could be used as a reliable partner to Firehair. I also want to know if Destroying Gwenpool is a bad idea. Quite experimental stuff but it might be weird enough to work. Be sure to play electro only if you have a way of getting rid of him.
TomaHawk
This is not an original concept. Darkhawk and Ronan have been together for a while now. This is my attempt at slotting Firehair into the mix and see if they all come up better for it. I’ve made some changes to better fit her, including Ice-Man, the most annoying 1-Drop.
Variants
You’re going to have a hard time choosing only one variant for Firehair. She has the style and midriff to pull off many cool variants. I’m tempted to Grab Alex Horley’s rendition this time around. I predict that she’ll get more amazing variants in the near future.

Final Thoughts
GET FIREHAIR NOW. JUST DO IT NOW. DO NOT SKIP ON HER. GRAB THE CARD.
Oof–Almost lost my cool there. To brag a little bit, the last couple of cards that I reviewed I was somehow able to pretty much gauge how good they were going to be, and I’m going to risk my hot-streak by saying that she’ll be an amazing card. She is unique, she has a powerful effect and she has the potential to get even better with future cards. Just take a look at Elixir and Kid Omega to see what I’m talking about. So I can say that I will be grabbing the card the first chance I get and I suggest you’ll do the same.
Plus, this Spotlight Week will be amazing. Nico Minoru is one of the coolest 1-costed cards in the game and Cassandra Nova has been a powerhouse ever since her release on Deadpool’s Diner. Overall it's a great week for you to spend your keys on.
