Welcome back, Snapper-X, as we tear into a brand new season with our adamantium claws. Weapon X is going to focus on Logan’s hard time at the hands of science and how he overcame it all. Mutants, experiments, and enough berserker rage to make the Hulk seem like a chill guy. Strap in your brightly colored spandex, sharpen those bones, and no matter the perks, try not to sign any shady government wavers.

Series 5 Premium Pass
They thought they could control him? They just made him angrier and quite indestructible. Meet Weapon X, A 2 Cost and 2 Power that gets stronger every time a card you own gets sent to the graveyard. To be more specific, after any of your cards gets destroyed while he is on the field, he gains +1 Power. Every third time, the effect improves by 1. So by the time the dust settles on turn 6, Weapon X might have witnessed so much destruction that he’ll be quite big. Just be careful with your aim as he is missing his healing factor.
Series 5 Super Premium Pass
We can remake him. We have the technology. A 4 Cost skill that revives your highest Power destroyed card at its location with doubled Power. Destroy Decks are eating good with this costly spell we can bring back Venom for another bite. It's a shame that Shang-Chi left the meta since it would be so cool to win the game using this card against it.
Series 5
Imagine you reach puberty and half your face is gone. Chamber is a 2 Cost and 3 Power card with an Activate that receives plus 2 Power for each 5 Cost or higher card at its location and in your hand. I wonder how he would look at discounted cards like She Hulk and Mockingbird. I’d look for decks that rely on high cost cards and try to slot him in.
Oh so Discard gets a Death-adjacent card now. A 7 Cost and 14 Power titan that refuses to be cut down. When discarded, it returns with minus 2 Cost. Cycle this with Lady Sif and any other discards you can find and suddenly you have a discount rage monster hitting the board or you can keep him around to feed your Dracula.
Maverick is a 3 Cost and 3 Power merc who likes to receive buffs to pass it along. Activate to give the next card you play Power equal to his. The key here is how to best buff this guy. The usual suspects like Galacta and Gwenpool are always available but I’ll try Namora. Surfer seems like the obvious answer here but it could be tricky to buff him with Surfer and then play a card.
She is my favorite four Marvel characters all at once. A 6 Cost and 6 Power On Reveal that boosts one of your other On Reveal cards at every location with plus 2 Power. Then repeats for Ongoing, Activate, and End of Turn. That means four different card types can get buffed across the board, one for each personality she has. We need a deck that features a ton of different different types of cards. Can you think of anything?
Fantomex, the first artificial mutant. A 4 Cost and 6 Power Activate that checks if you have had cards discarded and destroyed. If so, when you Activate it, enemy front row cards at EVERY location take minus 2 Power. This is also the first character that really wants to be played on decks that Destroy and Discard. If you manage to complete his quest he is basically a 4/12. Can we make the dream come true?
Grand Arena Series 4
A merc with a mouth before he became The Merc With a MouthWade. Wilson joins the fun as a 2 Cost and 2 Power. When destroyed, he replaces himself with a 1 Cost card from your hand or deck that enters with plus 1 Power. Getting Deadpool or just Headpool would be so lore accurate that I could scream. Hopefully he has a nice voice line for when he gets blown out.
Series 4
Marrow is a 2 Cost and 3 Power nightmare. When discarded or destroyed, she randomly splits -6 Power among enemy cards. Give this girlboss an epic-death-last-stand and your opponent will have more holes than my favorite cheese. Is she going into Fantomex decks as you can both destroy or discard her?
Team Clash Series 4
Fastball Special is a 2 Cost play that destroys your highest Power card at its location and afflicts an enemy card with that much negative Power. Wolverine would approve. This works double duty on destroying something for you and also inflicting your opponent’s with some nasty side effects. I want to use this with Nimrod, but I suppose any undying card that has some reasonable power level could work.
Wild Child is a 2 Cost and 1 Power feral threat. Ongoing plus 4 Power if you have discarded a card and plus 4 Power if one of your cards has been destroyed. That means a potential 9 Power for almost no effort in the right deck. Another payoff for this weird duo of Destroy and Discard. Someone get this kid a leash.
New Locations
Hospice: Changes to card Power are doubled here.
Essex’s Lab: After turn 4, destroy a card. Your others here split its Power.
Oh boy for sure I’m sending my boy Sunspot to a nice vacation at the Hospice. Also, Essex’s Lab seems like the perfect location for a Destroy Deck.

Conclusion
What a Season! Between the new game mode and the new cards I can safely say I’m quite excited to play! Fastball Special is my favorite card of the bunch and I’ll for sure try to use it with Elixir.
