With one week into the season, let's take a look at the decklists that will most likely get you to infinite.

End of Turn

End-of-turn decks had a strong ending to last season and have remained strong going into this season. They make the climb simple because there isn’t that much complexity. Most of the decision-making is related to how you get IW: First Steps and Prodigy down by turn 5 so you can activate on turn 6. This results in relatively simple play patterns and limited interaction with the opponent. These are good for casual and experienced players alike for a straightforward climb.

These three decks have solid win rates over 60% and cube rates in the +0.65-7 range. However, the last deck, which includes Squirrel Girl instead of Human Torch First Steps, is the most common. With 7 or 8 of the 12 cards being Series 5 cards, this is probably one of the game's most expensive and popular decks. Consequently, it doesn’t entirely work if you don't have all the pieces because it is way more combo-oriented than anything else.

Victoria Hand

With the majority of last season's cards revolving around the same mechanic and the new cards not making a giant splash during the first week, there isn’t a lot of new decks floating around, so a lot of the same major archetypes that finished the last season have carried over into the start of this season. That said, Victoria Hand decks are still as good as ever, taking up about 7% of the meta game pre-infinite.

A noticeable difference, though, is the inclusion of Negasonic Teenage Warhead. She is good at destroying cards like Prodigy, which lets the end-of-turn decks combo off because it's pretty obvious where they will be placed.

The Majority of the Victoria Hand decks are relatively similar, with some slight differences in the 3-cost slot. For example, Juggernaut is also a good inclusion instead of NTW to break up the End-of-turn combo, and Copycat is a good value card at the 3-cost slot.

While many of the Victoria Hand decks follow the same formula, the Moon Girl versions have many End-of-turn cards thrown in there, making them slightly hybrid decks between the two archetypes. Moon Girl decks are more fun than the Misery versions, but that is just me. The stats are relatively similar, with the Moon Girl version slightly less popular.

Galactus

For all of my season pass buyers, these are some of the best decks to climb to infinite with.

Uh..so basically the End-of-turn deck with Galactus First Steps and a slightly heavier curve? Sadly, the card diversity in a decent amount of the most popular decks is lacking, with the majority just being every card from last season with some minor changes.

However, if you are trying to avoid that and still want to use Galactus, here are a couple that are doing well.

Gman Wiccan

Multiple Gman

Loading...

With Galactus First Steps being mainly a giant threat like Red Hulk or Blob, throwing him in a deck with Wiccan to make sure you can play him and other cards is a good idea. Also, instead of Hobgoblin, you can run Jennifer Kale to get Galactus out a turn early with Luna in the multiple Gman deck.

But you need the battle pass for these decks, so if you haven't already, here it is—BxSW95Z1aY (redeemed). Let me know in the comments that you claimed it and where you will use Galactus First Steps first!

Surfer

While Surfer is fundamentally the same deck with 3 costs that offer good value and utility, mixed with Surfer, it's starting to look a little different than last season's decklists.

Most notably, it includes more 2-cost cards like Mr. Fantastic First Steps and Surge to increase the number of cards you can play and increase the power output, especially in games where you do not draw Surfer. Fenris Wolf is also a great inclusion because of the many high-powered 1-cost cards in the End of Turn decks. Pairing Fenris with Killmonger can easily be a 10+ point swing.

Clog

Clog has always been a viable strategy, constantly adapting to fit the meta game. Since the release of Merlin and Mercery, Clog has included the Anni Sentry package, combined with Cannonball. Realistically, Mercury Cannonball is essentially a one-lane winning combo that can splash into many decks with the cards to win one other lane easily. Stardust's release has been slightly lackluster, but it does offer another option to mitigate The Void and oppose Merlin’s Skills. Either way, this deck boasts a win rate of around 56-8% and a positive cube rate around +0.5-6.

Community

Searching through X and other places will provide a wealth of different decks people have posted to make infinite. These decks are typically unique or include a couple of cards different from the above decklists to fit a player's preference. This is just a few separate posts with some different decks that high-level players in the community used to reach infinite.

Insane Infinite Climb this season. Dodging all the tech slop decks.

Started my climb with a variety of Darkhawk decks, climbed through the 80s with Agatha BK and then finished the climb with Surfer^2.

Hit Infinite early with this list, but waited until the Golden Gauntlet submission deadline passed to post, since I’m bringing it to today’s tournament. Built more for GG play, but it still crushed ladder when you leverage smart cube equity on what you know (and they don’t). pic.twitter.com/wVmfpyUSxB

UPDATE

I like this build much better. We are in infinite now‼️

Our best draws all involve Quinjet and Corvus.

JdMacDonaldinho, an occasional streamer who has consistently been in the top 100 of the ladder, has been running a new free-to-play account. He was able to hit infinite using this build, so if you are new to the game and relatively free to play, it might be worth a shot.

Also, while tournament-style decks from the Golden Gauntlet are not always the best for laddering, they still are typically good decks to try out, so I would check out are article going over some of the more interesting decks from the tournament as well if you want something slightly different.

Conclusion

With any new season, climb decks like Discard, Negative, Destroy, and Cerebro are pretty reliable options in conjunction with the decks stated above. While the decks above are not the only decks that will get you there, they represent the majority of the decks people are playing to reach infinite, especially during the first week. I don’t see Frankie Rye Nova making a giant splash to change this up in the next couple of days, but the OTA on Thursday could mix things up, so I would get to using these decks now before they possibly change or become less powerful. If you have reached infinite, let me know what you used in the comments below!
