Infinite Watch - The Undead Horde Season

As the new season of Marvel Snap gathers its Horde and takes no prisoners, most players scramble to hit infinite amongst the chaos. Actually, I am just joking, it really isn’t that chaotic, but I do want to make sure you are aware of what decks are getting people to infinite during the first few days of the season, so you can take the weekend by storm or horde and get there yourself.

With the Golden Gauntlet taking place today, it's also a good time to play the ladder while everyone is preoccupied. But don't tell anyone. Okay, I am done. Let's get to these deck lists.

End of Turn

End of turn

As the premier deck for the last couple of seasons, there isn’t much to say about this other than it is good and continues to be good, especially with the release of Jocasta last season. It doesn’t have that many bad match-ups, and with the only tech card against End of Turn abilities being essentially non-existent, this deck is free to continue and do its thing.

I don't see why you wouldn't run this deck if you don’t want to change things up and have all the pieces. It's the most consistent thing players are used to in the game and simplifies the climb.

Destroy

Moira

Agony

With the release of Headpool, Destroy has seen a resurgence to the top of the meta game. Both versions are similar; it’s a preference for either using Moira X or Agony. I've used both versions during my climb for a bit, and I like the Moira X slightly better just because having double of your cards feels really good, and Agony isn’t as helpful unless you also have a Deadpool in hand.

However, Agony is a better late draw because she offers slightly more power if you want to play her out. Either way, Destroy is a classic climbing deck that gained a couple of new toys in the last few seasons, so if you haven't tried it out, it might be a good idea to dust off the Destroy cards and give it a go. Many locations help destroy, which can gain you cubes on the spot.

Discard

Zombie Discard

Another classic archetype has risen with the new cards released this season, which is Discard. The typical Discard deck has always been consistent for the infinite climb, but adding Zombie Powerman and Colonel America provides more viability and consistency. There are no crazy tricks to these decks, and everything is pretty straightforward on the board, making them simple to snap and climb. Simple to gain cubes and retreat with when your pieces don’t align.

Horde

The horde mechanic has shown some mild success in the last few days since its release, but it isn’t as heavily prevalent as it could be. I assume that the more we get into the season and the more support Horde receives, the better. Regardless, if you are the type of person who wants to climb with the season pass card, here is the best deck that I could find that features Zombie Scarlet Witch.

Horde

However, if you are looking for a horde deck that isn't as mid-range and straightforward, this deck has been a blast to play over the last couple of days.

Bounce Horde

Loading...

It essentially decks all of the standard bounce-type strategies and adds Horde. With the horde being a 0-cost token, it is easy to bounce back, play on the last turn in a different location, and grow a potential Hit-Monkey.

Good Stuff Midrange

Outside of the combo decks that do a good job of climbing because they are bot farmers, this Darkhawk Sugi Midrange style deck has one of the highest win rates.

DHawk Midrange

There isn’t anything special here; it just is solid cards doing their thing. Good power and disruption feel good into the amount of Discard and Destroy running around on the climb this season.

Combo

I am not going to post the decklists because they are easy to find and have not changed all that much, but Negative, Ongoing, and On Reveal combo-type decks are also performing pretty solidly as we go into the weekend. I would stick with it if you typically use that to get infinite.

Community Deck Lists

Had a great infinite climb with this destroy deck. Headpool can really elevate your Deadpool and Moira game plans. LDS is really good into a lot of decks rn especially Cerebro (you rarely hit the bro but you can full clear a lane if you play her on 5) pic.twitter.com/LD51BClFbO

4 times in a row I reach infinity with c2. meta in and meta out and it remains the most balanced deck in my opinion. pic.twitter.com/sCa5Fpidd5

ZOMBIE DISCARD GOT ME TO INFINITE! 🔥

Found Jeff's list on untapped and made a few adjustments. Gambit and Drac instead of Sif and Proxima 👀

As we can see, this is mainly more of the same, except for the Cerebro deck, which looks like fun to try out.

Conclusion

The meta game favors Destroy and Discard, but there are many more options, even if those are just the current popular ones. I would suggest picking your favorite and just going with it. Sadly, with the amount of Destroy, my main archetype of Clog is not well-positioned, but Galactus is, so I have been running that for my climb and just having a blast destroying locations. What are you using to get to infinite?
