The Featured Location from July 15th, 2023 at 11pm EST to July 16th, 2023 at 11pm EST is The Ice Box. As a featured location, it will have a 50% chance to appear in any ladder match. Now you must make a choice:
- Build INTO It
- Build AROUND It
- Ignore it
How to Build INTO it
- Wasp is just for target fodder. No harm, no foul if she gets hit in certain decks.
- Spider-Ham can benefit hitting the affected card potentially if the Ice Box causes a card to cross that 'highest in hand' threshold. Could be treacherous.
- Goose will block out some potential competition if the icebox hits a 3-cost card which is incredibly possible.
- Wave helps to cancel out the chaos this may concern if needed to be played on turn 4 or 5.
- Miles Morales and Stature shouldn't be affected after their costs get lowered from their effects.
- Death and She-Hulk can absorb the damage potentially and still be played around given her cost reduction mechanics.
How to Build AROUND it
Destroy it...proactively...maybe.
Scarlet Witch will switch a location, so you could MAYBE prevent it from appearing on the third location if it hasn't appear yet by playing Scarlet Witch on the right lane while it is still unrevealed. However...the use case for this is incredibly small. No love for Storm or Rhino today.
Classic Stats
Although this deck was hit be a nerf or two, it will still be a reliable deck for these 24 hours. Lots of movement and reduction mechanics built in here shall help keep The Ice Box from freezing you along your journey up the ladder today.
