Hold on tight, buttercup, we’re diving full tilt into the Sakaar Grand Prix! This time around it will be louder, faster, and more unregulated than ever before! Hosted on the chaotic junkyard planet of Sakaar, this demolition derby is the event that you truly don’t want to miss. We have rocket-powered chariots of every shape and size with pilots of every shape and size, from the usual bloodthirsty warlord to the occasional talking raccoon! The prize? A nice trophy made out of Tuesday's junk and maybe half a turkey sandwich that expired a while back but the Grandmaster can’t be bothered to throw it away. Let the games begin!

Buckle up, this Wednesday the 9th, Sakaar Grand Prix will arrive as our new Location and it’ll also be the Hot Location for 24 hours. Let’s brake this down.
The race is up! Go harder, better, faster, and stronger than your opponent on the race to turn 4 and your reward will be an extra point of energy for the rest of the game. It reminds me of Castle Blackstone, but it's different enough, only counting turn 4, and not a single moment before and after it.
So, how do we lap the competition in the Grand Prix? It will be a heavily contested location so we’ll need to play a deck that can reliably win a location by turn 4 so you’ll better shift gears and go faster than the opposition. There are many options to do just that, let me tell you all about them.
If you want to live on the fast lane, you might want to bring a huge sidecar for Starbrand. His nasty side effect doesn’t matter that much when you’re competing fiercely for a single location. His power is so strong that he’ll lose the Grand Prix race only if your opponent cheats you out of it by playing some fierce tech like Shang-Chi or Juggernaut. Don’t forget to also bring his crew of colorful racers.
Revving up the juggernaut, you might wanna take a look at the Scream package. The torque that this set of cards brings to the race is so powerful that they’ll misplace your opponent’s entire power around the lanes while Scream won’t be slowing down any time soon. She is out of this world, literally!
You know what really stirs me in the wrong direction? Junk on the tracks! If you often see a highly desired location on the field, you can just throw some junk like Goblins, maybe an Acid Arrow or two, and your opponent will likely finish the job by playing his own cards into the mix. They’ll find themselves often crossing a collapsed bridge with no way out.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane. We all share wonderful memories with Sanctum Showdown, right? How about pretending to be playing it again with our favorite ragtag team of space heroes for hire, The Guardians of the Galaxy.

Afterthoughts

Once again we have another location that gives us extra energy. I love that! This one demands some amount of effort and a clutch performance to reap its benefit away from your opponent, which I love the competitive aspect of it. It isn’t a snowball of a location like Castle Blackstone is which is great. I truly can’t say anything bad about the new location as it motivates players to go faster than usual which can expose you to possible dirty tricks from your opponent.
But what about you, avid racer? What are your thoughts on the new location? Is your heart accelerating or slowing down for this new location? Have you got any secret shortcuts for success that I haven’t considered? let me know in the comments
As always, it was a pleasure and I will catch you on the next one!
