Welcome to the future, you beautiful Snappers! Another round of locations filled with technological marvels is coming up on Snap during this exciting new season. We got some extra boost sponsored by a favorite iron clad individual and the very first location that interacts with Activate cards. You’d better put on your most luminous pair of pants and neon striped t-shirt because this is the future!

The Stark Industries - September 10th

After turn 4, split +8 Power among ALL cards here.

Oh boy here we go. Who doesn’t love extra power for free, right? This location at first glance seems simple enough, just have cards there before turn 5 and you’ll get power, right? I’m not so sure. Although it seems that the correct play is to get Iron man there alone and nothing else to get +8 Power but the location is considering ALL cards there when it is handling out power. It means that it also considers your opponent’s side of the field when it happens on turn 5.

The thing is, I don’t really know if the location is a coinflip or not. It could be distributed randomly and you or your opponent could win more power than the other, or it could be fair and evenly distribute 4 Power to each side. Both possibilities would require different decks to navigate. I’ll send you a deck for each possibility just to be thorough.

If the location is a Cassino, I would bring in a Surfer deck to try and hog the most amount of points from your opponent. Brood is a single card that could fill 3 locations and possibly raise your chances of getting some of that sweet Stark Tech to your side. Not to mention that both Sebastian Shaw and Human Torch First Steps love every single extra power they can get their hands on.

If the location is fair and just. I would play a deck that heavily features powerful 5-Drops. This way we can get that shared power into a single unit and get the most out of it. I already mentioned Iron Man but we also have Black Panther, and Nimrod. Getting the power focused on any of these guys would certainly edgy things in your favor.

Kvch - October 1st

Kvch

Add a random Activate card here for each player.

The very first Activate synergy location and Warlock’s Home! It’s a random location not much different than X-Mansion, the low variance between Activate cards for now means that it won’t blatantly win you a game like some Xavier’s home does. The worst thing it could happen is for you to get a cheap Activate card like King Eitri and your opponent gets the exciting new Omega Sentinel or maybe even Danger.

The best thing we could do to turn things in our favor is to use the card of the week, Jocasta! If you manage to get a good Activate Effect for free, you can trigger it twice with Jocasta, isn’t that neat? Perhaps you could get another Jocasta for free and do some really weird stuff.

We could also run a deck that loves one or more Activate cards and spin the wheel hoping that Kvch brings you another copy of your beloved Activate card. My favorite would be Bullseye.

If you feel like you’re unlucky, you could rig things in your favor with Super Adaptoid! He can yoink away a nasty Activate effect from your opponent’s cards. If you’re feeling particularly evil, Cobra is here to destroy the card that your opponent got for free, isn’t he dangerous?

Afterthoughts

I must say I’m really enjoying these new locations they have been cooking up, nothing here that could frustrate me to no end and no locations that are so swingy that it basically says “you lose this time, better luck on the next one.”. If I were to choose I’d say that this time around Stark Industries is my favorite of the two, even if it could be random, it gives us some leeway to plan our moves and get the most out of it. But now I’m curious, what did you think of these locations? I was thinking of writing an article on my top 10 locations ever, would you be considered into reading that? Let me know in the comments!
