I’ve been putting off writing the Most Wanted February wrap-up because I know that when I finish it, it will be the last article I submit for Snap.Fan. I have a lot of “thank yous” to hand out, so I’ll save them, and the rest of the sentimental stuff for the end of the article. I have a job to do, and that is to share with you the February Most Wanted list.
The Top 20
For only the second time over the past six months, Mephisto has been conquered. Just like last time it happened, the Most Wanted character for February 2026 is Pyro! This month’s list features a ton of characters coming from the world of mutants. The Brotherhood of Mutants have yet to make a true debut, but more and more, they feel like an inevitability. Pyro strikes me as a perfect Season Pass card, with high name recognition and a large fan base. The only question left to ask is - when does he make his debut? Based on the emoji hints for 2026, it doesn’t seem like this is the year for Pyro, but it’s good to know that there are so many people who want to see him in the game.

This month’s Top 20 has 3 to 6 new entrants, depending on how you count them. Quasar makes his debut on the Top 20 list, my guess would be in part to the cosmic nature of this season. Joining him is Valeria Richards, joining her brother for the first time. Valeria has always been on the cusp of the Top 20 list. As hype builds around the Fantastic Four, including an Avengers: Doomsday trailer featuring them, it makes sense that people want to see more of the Richards family in Marvel Snap.
Finally, joining them is The Wrecking Crew. When I started the list last year I made the conscious decision to list The Wrecking Crew as a single entry, along with the Asgardian Warriors Three. At the time, it was done to make room for more characters on the list. I stand by that decision today, but I am fairly confident that if either of those groups come to Marvel Snap they are likely to be individual cards that synergize together. I also believe that if Wrecker, Bulldozer, Piledriver and Thunderball were separate entries on the list their placements would plummet. (The same with Fandral, Hogun and Volstagg.)

The Bottom of the List
For those curious, the bottom of the list characters that are due to be cut include:
- Alligator Loki
- The Rose
- Cottonmouth
- Dogpool
- Belasco
- Phage
- Melinda May
- Bova

This marks the final straw for Dogpool who was voted back onto the list in December. There are definitely people out there who are passionate about him, but I think there are even more people who are passionate about not seeing another iteration of Deadpool enter the game.
It’s interesting to me that there are so many animalian characters on the list, including Alligator Loki, Dogpool and Bova. I think one of the most exciting things about Marvel Snap is its ability to highlight characters they aren’t playable in other Marvel games. Open up the gates to the zoo and let all the animals out!
The Future of Most Wanted
My original plan for March was to host a March Madness style bracket on Snap.Fan in lieu of the traditional Most Wanted poll. As you’ve probably heard already, Snap.Fan will no longer be publishing traditional articles beginning next week.
As disappointing as this is, it’s also given me the opportunity to take a step back and look at what’s working about Most Wanted and what isn’t. My original desire in starting this project was to create a resource for Marvel Snap similar to the MCOC Wishlist that exists for Marvel Contest of Champions. (The website that hosts their list is no longer open for fan-created lists.)
I loved (and still love) the idea of an ongoing community ranking that serves as a way to let Second Dinner know who people most want to see in Marvel Snap. The first list published on Snap.Fan last September had almost 450 entries. Over time, this number decreased, but had stabilized at around 150 over the past few months. February’s list just barely cracked 90 voters.
One of the largest problems in maintaining a monthly list like this is that it’s a lot to ask people to vote for 250 characters every four or five weeks. I totally get it. That being said, until I can find a better way to maintain an ongoing list - voting is the best way to do it.
So is Most Wanted dead? No, I’m still going to continue. Despite the decline in participation, I’ve heard nothing from positive feedback from everyone I’ve had the opportunity to interact with since Most Wanted began. There are, however, going to be some changes.
First things first - Most Wanted will no longer be monthly. Month to month, it’s too much to ask everyone to vote so often. I’m going to have Most Wanted appear on a seasonal basis, looking at January, April, July and October. Look for the next iteration of Most Wanted on Friday, April 3rd. The poll will be open for three weeks, with a wrap-up at the end of that month.
Now you’re probably asking - where should I look? For now, I’ll point you to the BlueSky account that I’ve created for Most Wanted - @snapmostwanted. I have high hopes that it will be published elsewhere, and any official news regarding that will be shared on that page, and possibly other relevant social media accounts.
Thank you!
I would be remiss if I didn’t thank everyone that’s helped to make this possible over the past few months.
For one, none of this would be possible without BEWD helping me with everything along the way. From buying-in when I approached him with this idea, to inspiring me to create character spotlights, none of this would have been possible without him.
I also want to thank all the other writers on Snap.Fan that helped me along the way. Whether it be everyone who helped with the Prediction League (which I will still keep track of!) or individual writers who provided feedback on specific articles.
Finally, I want to thank everyone who voted or commented over the past six months. I was nervous after publishing my first article that there wouldn’t be an audience for Most Wanted. Seeing the overwhelmingly positive responses over the past few months have truly brought me great joy.
One of the first pieces of media ever released for Marvel Snap was this wall of logos.

From the moment I saw that image, I knew I was hooked. I think that when most people think of Marvel Snap content, they think of deck guides, meta reports and strategies. What brought me to Marvel Snap, however, was not that it was a card game, but that it was a Marvel card game. I hope that my articles on Snap.Fan provided entertainment for others like me, who came to the game for that same reason.
