Marvel Snap’s Most Wanted February & Singularity Character Spotlight

Feb 04, 26

It’s the February season of Marvel Snap Most Wanted, and love is in the air! Or perhaps, to fit in with the Guardians of the Galaxy season, love is in the cosmos. This season of Most Wanted is going to bring you ten brand new additions to the poll, with a side of character spotlights based on some of your favorite lesser-known galactic characters.

February is a short month, so expect Most Wanted to go by fairly quickly - don’t delay in voting!

If you want to skip right past all my nonsense and get straight to the poll - click here to vote!

But for those brave readers who want to hear what I have to say, let’s move on to some graduates and newcomers!

Graduates

First things first - we have three characters leaving the list and entering the game this month. Moondragon is without a doubt the most popular of the graduates, having come close to cracking the Top 20 quite a few times. Moondragon’s in-game playstyle requires careful planning and deck-building expertise, which fits nicely with her character.

Also leaving the list are Magus, the darker side of Adam Warlock, and everyone’s favorite Ravager, Kirk  Kraglin! While not placed too highly on the list, both characters stayed consistent over the past few months and have earned their place in Marvel Snap! Congrats to everyone who supported them!

Newcomers

This month brings ten new characters to the Most Wanted list. (Well, really nine new, and one returning…) So let’s take a look at your new voting options for February.

Dragon Man - Dragon Man actually returns to the list after graduating last month. Turns out, he didn’t pass all of his classes. While Dragon Man was datamined alongside cards from the Dragon season, he never made it to the release schedule. Joining the likes of Dum Dum Dugan, Firestar, and Tombstone, Dragon Man joins the list of exclusive cards that force us to ask the question - What if?

Bug - Similar to Dragon Man, Bug was datamined as a potential card to release this month, along with his fellow Guardians of the Galaxy. Bug never received card text; however, the fact that his name exists somewhere inside the game warrants him a spot on the Most Wanted list.

The remainder of this month’s newcomers are directly from some of my predictions from the emoji clues provided by Glenn Jones last week. If you haven’t read my article analyzing these emojis, take a look at the article here.

Inspired by the potential for a vampire season in October, Nina Price (Vampire by Night), Bloodline (Blade’s daughter), and Baron Blood are all entering the list. Who is the most popular vampire yet to join Marvel Snap? This poll will give us a good idea.

Inspired by the potential for a Daredevil season in May, Owl is joining Most Wanted. Namorita, coming from the potential Atlantis season in June, is also joining the list. For the potential July season with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, I’ll be adding villain Boomerang, along with Mayday Parker, Spider-Girl. Could this be who Sadie Sink is playing?

Finally, last but not least, inspired by the cow e-moo-ji, Bova, the uplifted midwife cow, will be joining the fray. I’m expecting good things from Bova, so make sure you vote for her! One cow in Marvel Snap isn’t enough.

Character Spotlight: Singularity

Created in 2015, Singularity is one of Marvel’s more unique cosmic beings. I say this in regard to how friendly and helpful she is. Singularity’s debut happens in a series of A-Force comics set in Battleworld during Jonathan Hickman’s Secret Wars event. Singularity is of no specific universe, and falls from the sky, is found by Nico Minoru, and is eventually brought in by the members of A-Force.

Singularity has potentially unlimited power, but the power that stands out compared to some of her more traditional abilities is the fact that within her is a pocket dimension, with limitless space, that exists outside of time.

After Secret Wars, Singularity only has a few appearances. She helps Carol Danvers against the Inhumans and also joins Ms. Marvel briefly. Most recently, Singularity starred in a series of Marvel Voices Infinity comics, bringing the band back together, joining with Clea and some other past A-Force members, to help make herself whole.

One of the most interesting things about Singularity is that she remembers her time on Battleworld. After Franklin Richards recreates the multiverse, most characters return to their universes with little to no knowledge regarding the events of Secret Wars. This creates tension for Singularity as her appearance is frequently met with shock and confusion; her friends no longer recognize her or know about their time spent together.

Singularity in Marvel Snap

I wanted to create a card for Singularity that embodied her ability to create a pocket dimension. My original idea was to create a 4-cost activate card that turned Singularity’s location into the Deep Space location, but that didn’t feel thematic enough. Instead, I came up with this novel idea:

Singularity - 4/2 - On Reveal: Friendly cards here are banished. Return them, repeating On Reveals, at the end of the game.

CustomCard-Singularity

This would be the first card with the potential to return cards from banishment, with the banished space acting as Singularity’s pocket dimension.

I see this card being used in a number of ways. It could act as a way to protect cards that are vulnerable to tech, ensuring their safety for the entirety of the game. I could also see this working in an old school On Reveal style deck, strengthening cards that are played in a lane with Wong. The card could also provide much-needed assistance to fellow cosmic Silver Surfers, allowing, and even encouraging you, to play Surfer before turn 6.

Some of the cards that could counter this are the Goblins, as well as Viper, because if you empty out your location too early, your opponent can block the spots your cards were supposed to return to. A well-timed Cosmo would also be dastardly.

Conclusion

That’s all for this week’s Marvel Snap Most Wanted! Make sure you vote in this month’s poll! I have a season pass to give away, so I’ll be picking from Most Wanted voters at the end of this week! Make sure to leave your Discord handle at the end of the poll, and keep your notifications on!
