Welcome to the first edition of the all new Marvel Snap Most Wanted!
One of the most common refrains that I read about Marvel Snap is that there aren’t anymore well known characters left to add into the game. This belief has gained momentum with the addition of “duplicate” cards like Rocket & Groot, and the First Steps card cohort. The Most Wanted list is here to tell you that this is in fact a myth!
I do believe that tie-in cards have a place in Marvel Snap - it would be irresponsible not to promote new movies or videogames! But there are still thousands of Marvel characters worth mining - from deep cuts like Rek-Rap or Zzzax, to well-known C-listers like Wizard or Molecule Man.
The Most Wanted list takes 250 characters and asks you to rank them from 0 to 5. If you vote 0, that means you don’t want to see that character appear in Snap at all, and 5 should be reserved for your most wanted characters. Please skip any characters you don’t know anything about! There’s no pressure to vote for everyone.

At the end of the month I’ll calculate the points and share with everyone the Most Wanted characters in the game.
A few rules and regulations to keep in mind:
- I am aware datamines exist - patch day is my favorite day of the month! But I don’t want to remove characters from the list just because they’ve been datamined. Cards like Tombstone, Dum Dum Dugan and Firestar may look ready to go, but until we get official confirmation from Second Dinner, they remain on the list.
- Variations on characters that already exist is always a hot topic. Robbie Reyes certainly deserves his own card - despite the fact that he’s already on some variants. But others that will tell you Symbiote Spider-Man is already a variant and shouldn’t have been his own card. Because character variant cards already exist - they are fair game for the list. Is Throg your favorite character? You’re in luck!
Throughout the month I’ll look at the incoming votes and pick some characters to highlight. Are there any rising stars on the list? Should Doop be higher? (The answer is always yes.)
Please let me know in the comments if there are any characters you want to see added to the list! The list is capped at 250 characters - but every month I’ll take some of the poorest received characters and replace them with your suggestions!
In a few weeks I will return with the results, and the official first entry in Marvel Snap Most Wanted! Now head to the polls!

Character Spotlight: X-Cutioner
Before the Marvel Snap Most Wanted poll existed on Snap.Fan, it was a mere poll shared on social media. Looking over the voting data monthly, I couldn’t help but notice a number of great characters go underappreciated. I’d like to use this opportunity to highlight some characters that deserve your vote. Here I’ll share a little bit about their history, and possible implementation into the game.

The X-Cutioner is the human equivalent of a Sentinel’s desire to destroy all mutants. With an arsenal of Shi'ar weaponry and a twisted sense of justice, Carl Denti will stop at nothing to bring an end to mutandom. Specifically, any mutant who has killed a human.
Although his appearances have been sporadic over the past few years, X-Cutioner made a memorable return in 2024’s X-Men ‘97. His brief cameo in the second episode sets the tone for the remainder of the season, de-powering Storm and setting her down a life changing path. They even made a new action figure for him!

But what kind of card should X-Cutioner be?
Thematically, X-Cutioner should do something that is anti-mutant, but mutants are so diverse in their in-game abilities. We’re dealing with a character here who will stop at nothing to kill mutants and there’s a particular group of mutants who excel at coming back to life.
X-Cutioner - 2/3 - Ongoing: Your opponents cards cannot be regenerated, resurrected or returned to hand after they are destroyed.

This turns X-Cutioner into an incredible anti-destroy card, and an okay tech card that also negates a number of fringe cases. Thematically, Wolverine andX-23 can’t return to the board, and Deadpool and Sabretooth can’t return to your hand. Phoenix Force is shut down.
X-Cutioner is worded specifically enough that cards like Nimrod and Arnim Zola are unaffected. Last season’s release Stardust overlaps with X-Cutioner, but comes at a much higher cost and prevents a significant number of cards on both sides of the board. X-Cutioner is half the price, but far more niche and would presumably see more play in specific modes and metas. With such a niche power, I could see him going directly to series 4, or even being a reward for a LTGM.

Here’s a theoretical deck he could work in. I like him in a Thanos-Destroy deck, especially because he prevents other destroy decks from benefitting from the things that your deck wants to do.
Most Wanted - X-Cutioner
What are your thoughts on X-Cutioner?
Would you have focused more on his alien tech? Perhaps he thematically makes more sense with discard, or even negative affliction? What kind of season does he belong in? X-Men villains? Shi’ar characters?
Let me know what your ideal X-Cutioner card looks like in the comments! And if you want to see X-Cutioner in the game, make sure to vote for him on the Marvel Snap Most Wanted monthly poll!
