It's been an exciting week in the world of Marvel Snap! With a new season, new cards, tournaments, a revamped web shop, and updates, a lot is happening in the Snap universe right now. However, one thing remains constant: you just want to reach Infinite and be done with climbing.

I'm back to provide you with this season's Infinite Watch before I return to Meta Mondays next week. Here are some solid deck lists that can help you reach Infinite, along with insights into what many players are currently using. Let’s dive in!

I’ve Seen These Decks a Time or Twenty

34 Card Monte

Let's start with the deck that won the latest Golden Gauntlet. While I could dive deeper into the details here, I recommend checking out the interview that our writer, August, conducted with Roram, the tournament winner which you can find here. He shares valuable insights that are worth reading.

I want to emphasize that this deck is more challenging to pilot than you might expect, so results can vary significantly. There are many decisions to make, and it’s not the easiest deck to pick up and play. However, it is a lot of fun because you can utilize nearly every card in the game. I would advise you to play at your own risk and not to expect a quick and easy ascent to infinite ranks.

Mister Negative

Loading...

I’d need to check my archives, but I believe Mister Negative is consistently one of the top contenders for climbing to Infinite. There are two main reasons for this:

  1. It wins against most bots and consistently drops priority, which makes bots snap. This means you encounter more 8-cube bots rather than those that retreat.
  2. Players often refuse to leave after seeing Mister Negative and Jane Foster in play. Too many times, I’ve seen players take an 8-cube loss because they stayed in the game, thinking their tech card for one lane would secure victory.

So, a public service announcement: if you notice those two cards played in a game, consider leaving instead of trying to bluff with a snap.

Overall, Mister Negative is a straightforward deck for laddering that appeals to casual combo players who want to fit in a few games here and there. While it may lack complexity at times, it still attracts a wide range of players as a solid option for climbing to Infinite.

Surge

Loading...

This deck has been around since last season when Surge was released, and it continues to perform well today. Essentially, it's a solid midrange list that leverages Surge and Zabu to maximize power and versatility. Shang-Chi and Enchantress can effectively neutralize any threats you encounter, while Elsa, Kitty, and Galacta significantly boost your overall power. Surge, Hope, and Zabu provide the necessary energy advantage, allowing you to create a fantastic combo that works well against a wide range of decks as you aim for infinite rank.

Season Pass Decks

The best part about the decks above is that you don’t need the season pass so you should be good to play them even if you are spending almost nothing or nothing on this game. However, for those who like to use the newest cards, here are a couple of decks that are using Merlin in the best way possible to get to infinite.

Merlin

Loading...

I believe this is the obvious choice that most players have been using over the past week to reach infinite rank. The Wiccan control deck is an absolute powerhouse. While it isn't entirely foolproof, it features several "broken" cards that can give you a significant advantage over many other decks. The combination of Mercury and Cannonball can be quite devastating, and Wiccan allows for various energy manipulation strategies. Alioth is just a good catch-all for last turn surprises. Overall, this is probably the most popular deck at the moment, so if you aren’t playing it, you can expect to encounter it often.

Merlin Anni

Loading...

Another effective deck featuring Merlin achieved a top 4 finish in the Golden Gauntlet. It can quickly become devastating for opponents due to the variety of spells and Werewolf By Night. Shadow King is currently a strong addition because there are many decks utilizing Negative, Kitty Pryde, and Move Bounce strategies. Annihilus, following his recent buff, has become much more popular and performs well, particularly when paired with Sentry, which is an excellent card when you have Merlin. You can either send the void over with Annihilus or transform it into a 5-cost card using Merlin's Polymorph ability.

Old Favorites

Discard

Loading...

Discard has and I think will continue to be a good option because it provides consistent power with well-defined snapping conditions, so it's easy to min/max your cube gain.

Destroy

Loading...

Destroy has started to make its way back into the fold a little bit here and there. This could be because a lot of people are running Thanos, and Destroy naturally runs Killmonger, but it also just has some good consistent numbers into midrange decks and is pretty decent at dodging priority to keep its cards like Deadpool, Death, and Knull safe.

Conclusion

Currently, the field is wide open, and there are many decks to choose from when trying to get infinite. In these circumstances, my advice is always to pick what you are most comfortable snapping and retreating with so you can maximize the amount of cubes you either lose or gain for every single game. For example, I reached infinite running a Selene Clog Mercury deck because that’s what I like to use a lot of the time. This is the list; it’s not the best thing, but it’s what I do.

Selene Cope v53.2+1

Either way, pick what you find fun and can snap with, and that’s the best advice I can give. What deck do you normally get infinite with?

Next week, Meta Monday will be back, so make sure to stop by and see what the actual meta game feels like, especially after all of these changes we’ve had recently.
