September brings us a quartet of new Series 4 cards with a variety of release dates and methods. We'll let you know who these characters are, how you can get them, and if they're worth your precious resources.
Who is Omega Sentinel?
Karima Shapandar was an Indian police officer who was transformed into an Omega Sentinel by Bastion. She's got a pretty tragic history having been warped by Bastion and later had her body taken over by Malice, John Sublime, and Orchis.
How to get Omega Sentinel
Starting September 2nd, from the Seasonal Series 4 Snap Pack for 2500 Tokens or from the rotating Seasonal Series 4 Spotlight for 3000 Tokens.
How good is Omega Sentinel?
4-Cost Activates are always a little awkward. The fact that she doesn't specify her lane and can attack wherever your opponent has placed a high power card adds a lot to her value. Has Cerebro 3 found its Lasher?

Who is Awesome Andy?
The Awesome Android is a creation of the Mad Thinker, designed to battle the Fantastic Four. He broke free of his creator and eventually got a job working at the law firm where She-Hulk was a lawyer. He now goes by Andy and communicates with a chalkboard he keeps around his neck.

Starting September 2nd, from the Seasonal Series 4 Snap Pack for 2500 Tokens or from the rotating Seasonal Series 4 Spotlight for 3000 Tokens.
How awesome is Awesome Andy?
2/1 granting +2 feels like such a safe stat line, but one that it's hard to imagine being any higher. It is better to buff cards in hand that magnify effects since there are more cards that can multiply that effect, and it also keeps your power safe from Shadow King and Shang Chi. While Andy doesn't play nice with cards like Brood and Mysterio, we have some solid targets (below). Andy could slot right in with strategies like Namora and Silver Surfer. Maybe there's even a play line in Destroy decks with X-23 and Deadpool or Nimrod?

Who is Danger?
Technically, we already have this character in the game—as a location! Danger is the Danger Room in physical, anthropomorphic form! When she first became sentient, she was none too pleased with Professor X keeping her captive as a training tool!
How to get Danger
On September 18th, Deadpool's Diner returns in a revamped version with different snapping mechanics and wacky locations. Danger will be available in the Deadpool's Diner shop.
How good is Danger?
Because she's random, there is a ceiling on how good Danger will be. Being a 4-Cost Activate gives her a small window in which to make an impact. She could be helpful in a deck that destroys several of your opponents cards (more reason for the Fenris nerf), but I don't have a lot of faith in Danger as a splashable tech card.

Who is Super-Adaptoid?
Super-Adaptoid is an A.I.M. android with a shard of a cosmic cube inside him who can mimic the abilities and appearance of up to 8 super beings at once.
How to get Super-Adaptoid
Starting September 30th, from the Seasonal Series 4 Snap Pack for 2500 Tokens or from the rotating Seasonal Series 4 Spotlight for 3000 Tokens.
How good is Super-Adaptoid?
He's pretty niche. He's probably more useful than Ghost, but not by much. Using an On Reveal to be able to later use an activate is pretty slow. Releasing Super-Adaptoid at the end of the month is smart. If Activate proves to be a powerful strategy, on the back of cards like Jocasta, Super Adaptoid can jump in as a counter.
Cards to play with Super-Adaptoid
You could play him in something like a Jocasta and/or Invisible Woman First Steps deck in the hopes of stealing something that proactively helps your deck, but Super-Adaptoid is mostly a hate card to be played against Activate if it is running rampant, rather than in your own synergistic package.

When September Ends
Past Series 4 Cards
- Silver Surfer: First Steps will be available in Snap Packs from September 2.
- Air Walker will be available in Snap Packs from September 21.
Additionally, we're getting new themed packs that are likely to contain some Series 4 cards you may be looking for.
- The Discard archetype can be found in the Featured Set from Sep 16-22nd.
- The Activate archetype can be found in the Featured Set from Sep 23-29th.
In a welcome move, Second Dinner has changed the Super Premium Season Pass card from a Series 4 to a Series 5, but it will now be available to everyone immediately via the normal acquisition methods rather than being exclusively locked behind a paywall. As a result, the Super Premium Season Pass will no longer contain a Series 4 card moving forward, it will be a series 5 card instead.
Final Thoughts
This month is full of fun cards and it doesn't look like there's an overpowered card like Mister Fantastic: First Steps in the bunch. This means you can pick up the cards that look mechanically interesting to you. I'm disappointed by Activate being on Danger and Karima. I get that they're trying to thematically link robots around Activate, but they could have been really interesting alternatives to Shang Chi had they been On Reveals.
Shang Chi has never had much meaningful competition for his slot in decks and these cards aren't going to push him out of anything. I'm skeptical if either will be good enough to see widespread play as 4-Cost Activates. On the other hand, I like that they're spreading the cards out a bit by putting Super Adaptoid at the end of the season. I still like a little chunk at the beginning, but 5 cards on September 2nd is plenty.
