Marvel Snap released an official video answering questions about Snap Packs. It's hosted by ItsGuestGaming and features several content creators posing questions about the new system to Matt Ricchetti, Senior Director of Product at Second Dinner. Snap Packs are coming April 29th!
The most important thing we got from the video is the prices of each of the five Snap Packs that will be made available at launch.
- Seasonal Series 5 - 5000
- Seasonal Series 4 - 2500
- Collector's Series 5 - 4000
- Collector's Series 4 - 2000
- Collector's Series 3 - 650
The prices are all basically in line with my expectations. The one exception is that the Series 3 pack is a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. I expected something like 800, but wouldn't have been at all surprised to see it at 1000 since it's essentially a way to directly purchase Series 3 cards and doesn't necessarily need to be discounted in the same way as the higher series packs need to be.
Additionally, we got a peek at the interface for Snap packs. You can indeed see what cards you're missing from each pool in the pack interface.
We also got information about the token shop. We will get 50 free tokens daily and there are token packs available for gold.
There are still a few things we don't yet know. We're still waiting on the odds of the “extra goodies” in each pack. Those odds will be important to determine the true value of these packs.
Also, we learned more about how updating the client will be handled via Discord.
