Starting this article was challenging, and I want to begin by sincerely thanking everyone who has ever engaged with the site and our articles. We poured our hearts into creating content about this game from the very beginning. Several current and former contributors wish to reflect on their experiences and/or share their favorite memories. I couldn’t think of a better person to start this with than ItsGuestGaming.

In 2023, I stepped into my first real role in the Marvel Snap space as Lead Content Manager for Snap.Fan. Up until then, I was just a guy with a camera and a love for cubes. Writing for the site, leading a team of talented writers, and helping shape the early ideas around competitive play opened my eyes to what it truly takes behind the scenes to support a game and a community at scale. The truth is, seeing the care, the edits, the late nights, and the passion that went into every article changed me.
When I passed the torch to BEWD and watched him grow the team alongside ScoSco, I felt proud. They carried it forward with consistency, heart, and real love for the game. For two years, they showed what commitment to community looks like.
I want to thank Nic, Sank, and the entire Snap.Fan team for trusting me with that opportunity. That experience gave me confidence. It pushed me to take bigger swings in this community. If I never wrote for Snap.Fan, I honestly do not know if I would have taken the leaps of faith that shaped the creator I am today.
This may be the final week of articles, but it is not the end of Marvel Snap. The writers, the players, the creators, and the fans are what make this game special. Keep supporting Marvel Snap content wherever you find it. The community is still here. And the best part? We are just getting started.

I've been playing Snap from the closed beta in June 2022 all the way until Jan 2026, but I've been involved in the Snap.Fan community basically from the start since the closed beta. Back then, Snap.Fan was Vinkelsier's community, where some of the best deckbuilders of the time gathered. I credit that period of the closed beta for my development as a player - being part of a community with strong players contributes to one getting better. One of my greatest memories of that time in closed beta was contributing to breaking the meta at the time with what would become the precursor to Sera Tech - using the broken beta Magik.

Of course, my favorite part of Snap's history was its grassroots tournament era. Snap.Fan also dipped its toe into that scene by holding the Snap.Fan Opens, which later fed into the Snap.Fan World Championship partnered alongside Snap Battle Arena and Snap Clash events. I've found a decent amount of success within the Snap.Fan World Championship circuit, being a two-time Snap.Fan Open Runner Up, but I will remember the tournament era for how I found my voice in the community, doing tournament stats, writing tournament meta articles, and being the volunteer data guy for these events. I also had a large hand in helping manage the invites for the Snap.Fan World Championship itself, which was held in March 2024 and crowned the first and somewhat secret World Champion (sorry Zapgaze, comiz was first - also I do feel bad for how my incompetence in marketing really failed comiz in terms of getting their name rightfully out there). Honestly, the SFWC basically marked the last time I would say I really took Snap seriously. Although my engagement with the game has continually gone downhill since then until my total departure from the game at the start of this year, Snap.Fan holds a fond place in my heart and helps make me the player I am today.

I’m grateful I had the chance to write for Snap.Fan and share a couple of guides and ideas with the community. A lot of what I wrote grew out of using the site myself, so my favourite moments were actually those times exploring card data and stats to share with others (special shout‑out to Sank for all that data!). I always felt encouraged and supported by the team, just a genuinely good group of people. And BEWD somehow picked the perfect banner image every single time, which was always a memorable moment when an article went live. Thanks for making this such a warm place to be part of.

When I got the writer position at Snap.Fan in between grad school and a job, I expected it to be a handful of articles that happened to be about a game I was playing constantly. What I didn't expect was to become part of a crew that was doing real, herculean legwork building up engagement and community for an entire playerbase; in my time writing for Snap.Fan, I became part of something players looked forward to, and the entire writers team (helmed by a terrific leader in BEWD) worked to consistently come up with new ways to make playing this game more interesting and exciting, from comic-nerd articles (guilty) to metagame deep dives to everything in between.
The game is better for having this written community touchstone for so long to rally around, and every one of the writers should be proud of the work they've put into it. Thanks to Sank for the tireless work and all the opportunities; thanks to all-star editor BEWD for all your hands-on support on the team; and thanks to all my fellow writers for making it a great ride.
My favorite moment?
Maybe just the first time BEWD shot me a message after my very first article—just quoting the silly intro I'd written, and echoing the warm welcome and support I received from all the readers and writers from the start.

My first article for Snap.Fan was published on December 12, 2023, a long time ago! Since then, I have written 106 articles covering various topics, including character guides, previews, meta discussions, the mechanics of splitting cards, and my general opinions on balance changes. Like many players, my interest in the game has waned over the past few months. Instead of playing every day, I now find myself playing only a couple of times a week or not at all. It’s disheartening to feel like a chapter is closing, and with Snap.Fan halting article production, I’m sure that feeling of sadness will only deepen.
Throughout this journey, I’ve made friends as a writer and enjoyed interacting with readers through the comment sections and various platforms my content reached. One of my favorite articles was about the original percentages for splitting cards. It was amusing to see people comment across multiple platforms, arguing that the numbers were incorrect or too high for the cost of splitting a card. Then, Second Dinner changed the split odds, and we had to revisit those numbers, and then a third time! But numbers don’t lie, and creating those articles and charts was quite enjoyable.
Another highlight for me was my "Good, Bad, and Ugly" series, where I discussed some of the OTA changes that were incredibly frustrating for dedicated players. My only regret is not writing a guide on my extensive knowledge of Selene, as I often see people calling her the worst card. With over 75 decks and many months of reaching Infinite and the top 100 while using her, I know otherwise! Perhaps I’ll write that guide and post it somewhere.
A big shoutout to BEWD for editing and posting all my articles, even when they were submitted late, and to Snap.Fan for allowing me to write over the past few years!

Oh boy, this is so hard to put into words.
When I started writing for Snap.Fan, I thought the best part would be covering a game I truly love. But now that I’m saying goodbye, what I’ll cherish most are the experiences I’ve shared with this amazing community. There was something incredibly fulfilling about posting my usual incoherent ramblings and then reading what you all had to say. I read every single comment, and I even had the chance to talk with some of you from time to time. Every interaction meant a lot to me.
I also can’t forget to mention how much the team supported me. English isn’t my first language, and I often struggle to put my wild ideas into words. Thankfully, I had the best team I could ask for, always helping me grow and improve as a writer. A special thanks to BEWD, not only an incredible Chief Content Editor, but an even better person.
And now, it’s time for me to go.
Thank you all so much.

I was with the Snap.Fan team for several months, mostly writing tons of Card Previews - sometimes getting them right, and a few times being way off from their true potential. Either way, I loved the part where my pieces got published, and then I'd engage in discussion with the community about it - talking about whether the card was a solid addition to the game or not.
Although I put equal effort and care into all the stuff I wrote, an article in particular, which I remember quite fondly, was my piece on Snap getting banned from the US. Talks around the game skyrocketed at that time, and we saw a lot of new players joining in and giving their views on what was arguably the most controversial time surrounding Snap.
My time as a writer here was a complete joy, and I hope the game and its playerbase continue to have a strong, loving relationship with each other.

Snap.Fan was always my go-to website for everything Marvel Snap. Last summer, when I learned that they were looking to bring in new writers, I took a chance to pursue something I enjoyed doing, but hadn’t been able to do much of over the past decade. Writing and organizing Most Wanted, as well as researching and creating character spotlights, has been a pleasure over the past six months.
Thank you to BEWD for all of his support and guidance, especially at the start. And thank you to the hundreds of people who voted and participated, month after month, to make doing this possible. I read every comment, looked at every vote, and enjoyed every Discord conversation. It’s been an incredible opportunity and pleasure. I hope to find a way to continue Most Wanted for everyone in the future. Thank you for reading, and thank you for voting!

I haven’t been with the SnapFan writers team for very long, just four months, but it’s been a great experience. I’ve had the opportunity to share my deck ideas and help guide members of the Snap community on how to better spend their tokens on new releases. All in all, it’s been a rewarding experience, and I’ve learned a lot from it.

Time with Snap.Fan - 3 months
Favorite memory - there is a personal one, of having BEWD and ScoSco compliment my writing. Never expected that to happen. A really meaningful experience for me to have people whose writing I enjoy say they liked something I wrote.
But a less personal one that is more reasonable to share - The Prediction league we did as Snap.Fan writers. Just a cool experience that Snap.Fan created to connect with people who enjoy similar things to me. I don't have that often. Snap is a bit of a silo in my "real" life, so it was really cool to have a real experience like that, connecting with others.

I started getting involved in the Marvel Snap community by creating infographics highlighting datamined cards. I never would have guessed when I began that Snap.Fan would reach out to me and ask me to join the team! Not only did you provide me with an outlet for the graphics, but also my voice! I got to start my journey as a Marvel Snap content creator through articles about the newest cards, game mechanics, and my own personal speculation. Growing up, I used to read articles about whatever card game I was playing at the time, so being able to do this myself was a dream come true. A sincere thanks to Snap.Fan and to all of you, the readers, for listening to me as I found my voice here.

My favorite memories from Snap Fan are the behind-the-scenes writer’s challenges. BEWD would give us a set of restrictions, and we'd try to win a Gold Conquest. One time, we had to use cards based on the first letter of an Infinity Stone. Another time, we needed to make a deck with all unique base Powers. It was especially funny the time there was a tiebreaker where the participants had to make a deck with two of the worst statistical cards in the game!

This site will always hold a special place in my heart. I first discovered it after ItsGuestGaming asked if I was interested in contributing. Initially, I was hesitant, but I’m truly grateful I took the leap. None of this would have been possible without ItsGuestGaming’s encouragement, and I deeply appreciate the opportunity.
When I became the Chief Content Editor, I wanted to make one thing clear to our audience: I wanted our writers' passions to shine brightly. I carefully reviewed countless applications, seeking individuals with unique styles, perspectives, and ways of enjoying the game. I feel privileged to have showcased talented writers from North America, South America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Editing nearly a thousand articles has been an incredible honor. I got to have front row seats to my favorite content creators passionately sharing their voices through writing. The support from our fans continually inspired me to strive for excellence. I won't name any commentators' names, but know that I see you, I hear you, and I sincerely value your opinions. I encourage everyone to follow their dreams and not be afraid to express their passions. There is only one of you. This game may be here now, but we don’t know how long it will last. Don’t let your passions fade.
I am grateful to the admins who trusted me to meet their expectations. They empowered our team to share our passions in our own unique ways. Sanktanglia, you are an absolute datamining wizard and a vital to our community. And what will remain with me most vividly about this site? It’s everything—the site itself and the incredible content created here. I often find myself revisiting old articles, remembering the beauty of what was produced.

I wanted to say how much I've loved working with all of these awesome people! I've learned so much more about the game and comics and got to be part of a really great community, and I'm honored to have been able to contribute to this community like that. I want to express my sorrow that we are not able to continue on with writers, but I'll still be here with my datamines as long as I'm able! Please support all of the awesome creators and writers who contributed to us in whatever they do next!
Without further ado….
Thank you from all of us!
I am going to propose the same questions that I did to the contributors within this article. What memories would you like to reflect on regarding the site? What is your favorite memory?
As you saw, there are many ways to answer, and we are so excited to hear your responses one last time.
As always, have a BEWDiful Day and thank you so much from all of the Snap.Fan team!
