Why is Gamora?!
Artist: Derrick Chew
Source: Event Shop Portal Pull
We are kicking off this week with an incredible looking Gamora variant from Derek Chew. This one immediately caught my attention because it has that distinct Source Unknown style, which usually hints at a limited time game mode or special event coming our way. Whether that ends up being true or not, the art stands on its own. It looks amazing.
The blades are the first thing that pull you in. They have this sharp cinematic shine that makes the entire pose feel intense and full of motion. The clothing flowing out of the frame is a beautiful touch and gives the card a sense of depth that a lot of variants never quite capture.
Gamora has a strong catalog of variants already, but this might honestly be one of the best ones released so far. The background, the colors, the energy in the animation, everything works together perfectly.
For the perfect split, I think a cosmic green border would take this card to a new level. It would match the tones and tie the entire design together without overpowering the art. It does not need gold or ink at all. If you want to get a little creative, a neon purple border could also look incredible.
Let me know what you think of this one.
Cosmic Judgement Has Arrived!
Artist: James Ryman
Source: Event Shop Portal Pull
Next up we have The Living Tribunal, illustrated by James Ryman. This one also appears to be a Source Unknown piece, which once again makes me think we are heading toward a limited time game mode rewards. Even without that connection, this variant stands out in a major way. It might honestly be the best Living Tribunal we have seen so far.
The design is incredible. The galaxy resting in his hand instantly pulls you in, and the planets floating around him look amazing, especially the ones breaking past the frame. Details like that give the card a powerful sense of scale and presence, which fits The Living Tribunal perfectly.
I absolutely love everything about this variant. I cannot wait to see the animation, because if those planets start levitating and the cosmic background begins to glow, this becomes an instant top-tier variant. It already looks stunning and the animation could easily elevate it even more.
For the perfect split, I have to go with a neon yellow border or a gold cosmic border. Either one would match the energy of the card and highlight the golden tones in the art. It would look fantastic.
Phenomenal work from James Ryman. Truly impressive.
Inferno’s Magik!
Artist: Inferno
Source: Event Premium Pass Reward
This Magik variant immediately gives off major Storm vibes. The electricity swirling around her body looks intense, and the glowing eyes add a powerful supernatural presence. It feels like she is either stepping through a portal or absorbing raw energy, and both interpretations look incredible.
This one is part of the Inferno series, but it is also marked as a Source Unknown piece, which once again points toward the possibility of a limited time game mode reward. If that ends up being true, this might be one of the strongest variants tied to it.
The art itself is phenomenal. The lighting, the energy effects, the pose, everything blends together beautifully. I think this variant has a great chance to look completely flawless with the right split. A neon blue border would match the electricity perfectly, but a red border could also create a striking contrast that looks amazing in motion.
Another top tier addition to Magik’s lineup.
Namor: King of the Empty Lane!
Artist: Leinil Yu
Source: Event Shop
Namor, the Sub Mariner, is looking absolutely regal in this variant! He's clad in his signature black and green, giving off a classic, commanding comic book feel. His pose is perfect: trident in hand, gazing off with that classic Namor hauteur that says, "I'm better than you, even when I'm standing by myself." Which, of course, is the whole point of the card!
The detailed linework on his torso and the dramatic black cloak add to his sense of intimidating royalty.
To celebrate his Atlantean roots, a Blue Neon Border would make his water-soaked background and black cloak pop dramatically.

Album Artist Showcase: Leo Chiola's "Chiola Senses Tingling" Album!
Artist: Leo Chiola
Source: Super Rare Pool
This entire collection delivers that punch of power, speed, and sharp detail across one of Marvel's most beloved character families.
Here's the breakdown of the spectacular 12 variants in the album:
- Agony: Chiola's take on the symbiote is all raw, flowing power. The vibrant purple and pink clash of the Agony suit is perfectly captured mid-motion, with tendrils and hair flying, giving the card a palpable sense of speed and threat.
- Hydro Man: This is a gorgeous, painterly take on the character. The water effect is stunningly rendered, showcasing his power in a dynamic, crashing wave of blue and white. It’s a clean look that perfectly captures the character's elemental control.
- Man Spider: This variant leans straight into the "monstrous" side of the Spider-Man equation. This is not the Spider-Man we know; it’s a hulking, terrifying figure with multiple arms, captured in a feral, aggressive pose that truly embodies the fear factor.
- Peni Parker: A fantastic pop of color! Peni and her SP/dr suit are rendered in bold, clean lines. The suit looks sleek, powerful, and ready for action, perfectly matching Chiola’s dynamic style. If you’re a fan of her animation-inspired look, this is a must-have.
- Scorn: Another terrifying symbiote gets a phenomenal look. The fragmented, spikey armor and aggressive stance make Scorn look incredibly dangerous. The color choice here is perfect, a sickly, unsettling purple and gray that really makes the variant pop.
- Spider Man: Our classic web-slinger is here! Chiola captures him in an iconic, mid-air acrobatic pose, ready to launch a web line. It’s clean, heroic, and a beautiful representation of his classic blue and red suit.
- Spider Man Noir: This variant is pure atmosphere and mood. The dark, brooding shadows and the stark white/black color palette perfectly capture the detective’s noir aesthetic, giving him a grounded, gritty, and mysterious look.
- Spider Punk: This card is all attitude and action! Spider Punk is rocking a fierce, energetic pose, guitar in hand, with a great sense of dynamic motion. It's vibrant, chaotic, and ready to make some noise in your deck.
- Superior Spider Man: The red and black suit is already phenomenal, but this artist captures his look in a hyper-stylized, razor-sharp way. He's caught mid-lunge, with that classic, angular suit looking like it's made of sharp, segmented armor.
- Toxin: The red and black symbiote Toxin is captured here in a low, snarling, aggressive crouch. The sheer muscle and sharp claws convey an immense, physical threat. It’s dark, imposing, and instantly demanding of attention on the board.
- Uncle Ben: FINALLY! An Uncle Ben Variant! This is easily the most hilarious, yet touching, card in the set. Uncle Ben is a man who knows his way around a toolkit, not a fight. The variant shows him focused on his work, giving a great, grounded contrast to the chaos of the Spider-Verse. We needed him!
- Venom: Chiola’s Venom is pure aggression. Crouched low and ready to spring, with a massive, muscular form dominating the frame. This variant perfectly leans into the dark, imposing side of the character, with that fierce grin and sharp, exaggerated claws.
Rewards Worth Collecting!
This album is not just about the variants; the rewards for collecting them are absolutely top-tier:
- 3/12 Reward: The adorable "Rock On" Spider-Man emoji. Look at the little guy go!
- 9/12 Reward: A massive pile of 4,000 Collector's Tokens. If you're a serious collector, this token injection is worth chasing alone.
- 12/12 Reward: The final prize is a special Prowler variant! The perspective is incredible, making the weapon look huge and intimidating! Can’t wait to get it!
The Cosmic Ghost Rider is HERE!
Artist: Creative House Pocket
Source: Bundle - Cosmic Hellfire
The Ghost Rider skull is replaced with a raging inferno, contrasted by the incredibly detailed, spiked, cosmic gray armor. The orange and yellow flames are contained but explosive.
He's literally wreathed in chains that look molten and crackling with heat.
The glow from his flaming head and the ominous red eye slits in his chest plate make him look less like a hero and more like a relentless cosmic executioner.
The overall composition, a towering, armored figure against a backdrop of swirling nebulas, perfectly captures his over-the-top, cosmic nature.
The Red Krackle split would make the flames on his head, the molten chains, and the fire around his wrists explode with dangerous, volatile energy.
The Prowler Variant: Neon Nightmare!
Artist: Creative House Pocket
Source: Unknown
This variant, known as the Collage variant, completely transforms Prowler into a graphic, high-energy pop-art villain. My favorite Prowler Variant!
The split-face design is amazing, with one half dark and masked, and the other half framed by electric neon pinks, blues, and toxic greens. It looks like two different realities slamming together.
This aesthetic feels like it was ripped straight out of a frenetic comic panel or a late-night anime commercial. It's loud, fast, and completely unapologetic.
The Rainbow Krackle would perfectly complement the sheer chaos of the pink, blue, and green on the card, making the entire thing look like PHENOMENAL!

Peach Momoko’s Sam Wilson, Captain America! (Currently Available in the Shop)
Artist: Peach Momoko
Source: Bundle - Not Just a Wingman
This is pure comic book royalty. Sam Wilson is positioned front and center, with a powerful, focused expression and a massive, stylized white star dominating his chest.
The use of color is chef's kiss: the crisp, white armor and uniform starkly contrast with the splashes of dynamic, almost painterly red that form his wings and burst from the background.
His head and visor are sharp, black, and sleek, giving him an incredibly modern and authoritative look. This isn't just a costume; it's a Vibranium work of art.
The classic shield is visible in the foreground, grounding the look in the iconic legacy he carries.

Squirrel Girl Variant: Autumnal Acorn Queen
Artist: Creative Plus
Source: Bundle - Feast Mode
This variant completely re-imagines Doreen Green with a delightful, cozy, anime-inspired aesthetic, celebrating her deep connection to nature.
Her expression is one of pure, unbridled joy and mischievous energy with a wide, open smile. The whole scene is set in Autumn, with falling leaves and squirrels everywhere, turning her ability into a cozy harvest!
The accompanying Squirrel token variant is equally adorable! It's a chunky, fluffy little guy, bandana and all, happily stuffing his face with an acorn.
A Gold Finish would turn the entire background into a stunning, glowing autumn scene, making her character model and the warm brown tones of her outfit pop dramatically.
🎸 Spider-Man Noir Variant: Punk Rock Detective!
Artist: Brett Bean
Source: Rare Pool
Spider-Man Noir is rocking a look that is pure punk band frontman. He’s wearing a dramatic, spiked shoulder pad and a long, flowing coat that still nods to his classic look.
The absolute star of the show is the keytar he's wielding, decorated with spider-web cracks and black-and-white keys! He's mid-shred, completely owning the stage.
The color palette is fantastic: a core of black and gray contrasts sharply with vibrant pink spikes and chains and a fiery red and orange spotlight background. He's throwing off sparks and attitude!
A Red Neon Border would match the stage lights, framing him perfectly as the headliner he clearly is.

🎸 I WANNA ROCK out Variants!
Artist: Brett Bean
Source: Rare Pool
This isn't the shapeshifting spy we're used to; this is a lead guitarist ready to bring down the house!
The level of detail here is fantastic. Let's break down why this one hits all the right notes. Our musical mastermind is sporting a stark white mask that is both eerie and perfect for a character whose face you never truly see. The leather vest is covered in spikes and chains, and look closer at his shirt, is that a little smiley-face pin collection?
It’s the perfect blend of menace and quirky humor that you have to appreciate.
As for Hydro-Man, this variant completely drops the usual villainy for a look of pure, shredding enthusiasm. This isn't just Morris Bench; this is a bass god who decided to replace his legs with a plume of water and still somehow found a pair of studded boots.
Hydro-Man is mid-roar, absolutely channeling that electric energy through his bass guitar. His "hair" and beard are stylized plumes of bright blue water, and he’s rocking a classic spiked vest, because even when you're made of liquid, you need to look tough.
Gold and Blue Krackle splits will be perfect for these two variants!

🎃 Incoming Payload! The Hobgoblin Drops In! 😈
Artist: Michal Ivan
Source: Super Rare Pool
This variant takes the classic, terrifying Hobgoblin look and elevates it with incredible speed and menace. This isn't just a villain on a glider; it's a terrifying orange streak ready to sabotage your opponent's lane and ruin their entire day.
The vivid orange of his suit and the bomb contrasts sharply with the muted blues and blacks of the background and his glider. This immediately draws your eye to the source of the trouble: the man and his bomb
Orange or Red Krackle Split will match the fiery glow of the pumpkin bomb and his hood, this would make the chaos around him absolutely EXPLODE off the card.

🐙 Arm-ageddon Incoming! The Classic Doctor Octopus! 🤖
Artist: Leinil Yu
Source: Rare Pool
This variant completely nails the menacing, squat, and powerfully built look of Otto Octavius in his prime. This isn't the Superior Spider-Man; this is the definitive Master Planner!
The tight, vibrant green and yellow suit, the slicked-back reddish-brown hair, and those trademark dark goggles give him a look of focused, unbridled malice. He's hunched forward, ready to command his arms, looking far more imposing than a man his size should be.
The bright colors of his suit pop brilliantly against the somewhat washed-out background, ensuring all eyes are on the man behind the metal. It’s a flawless depiction of power and control.
To match his iconic suit, a Green Krackle would make the energy look volatile and sickly, amplifying the dangerous power of his tentacles.
