BUNDLES, BUNDLES and More BUNDLES :)

If you thought you were safe because you finished your holiday shopping, think again.

We have a mountain of bundles to get through this week. It feels like half the Marvel Universe decided to drop a new look right before the holidays. Whether you are looking for a gritty Gambit or a Loki that looks like he belongs in a bedtime story, there is something here that is going to tempt you.

So grab your favorite holiday beverage, hide your credit card statement from yourself for a few minutes, and take a walk with me. We have some fantastic art to break down in this special holiday edition of the Variant Forecast!

12/23

Dealing Destruction in Style!

Artist: Nikola Čižmešija

Source: Bundle Dealing Damage

This variant isn't the smooth, romantic Gambit we sometimes see; this is Remy moments before he wipes out your opponent's entire board. The sheer amount of pink energy radiating from the cards is overwhelming in the best way possible. It creates this messy, gritty atmosphere that fits the character perfectly.

The heavy black ink shading contrasts beautifully with the neon brights of his kinetic charge. Look at those eyes! He is glowing with power and sporting a smirk that says he knows exactly which card he is about to discard from your hand, and it is definitely the one you needed.

For the split, you have to lean into that energy. A Neon Purple Border is the only correct choice here. It would match the kinetic charge perfectly and make the whole card look like it is vibrating on the board. If you get an Ink Finish, the heavy black lines will make it look like a page ripped straight out of a high-contrast manga.

The Doctor of Doom

Artist: Junggeun Yoon

Source: Bundle Strange's Last Stand

We have seen plenty of Doctor Strange variants, but this one hits different. Junggeun Yoon brings a level of brooding intensity to Strange Supreme.

This is the face of a man who has seen timelines collapse and probably caused half of them. The darker color palette is the first thing you notice. Gone are the bright, hopeful reds and blues; instead, we get deep maroons and shadowed purples that scream, "I have read books I definitely should not have opened."

The posing is immaculate. Strange looks like he is holding back an eldritch horror or perhaps just trying to stop his teammates from playing into an Alioth lane. The magic effects are sharp and precise, lacking the chaotic swirl of other variants, which implies a terrifying level of control.

For the perfect split, a Neon Red Border is non-negotiable here.

Lighting Up the Night Sky

Artist: SUPJA

Source: Conditional Bundle

If you have been looking for a reason, actually, to put Aurora in your deck, SUPJA just gave you a convincing one. This variant is incredibly clean, which is exactly what we have come to expect from this artist.

The lighting here is the real MVP. The way the soft purple and blue hues of the northern lights reflect off her suit is stunning. It gives the character a sense of place and atmosphere that a lot of "character standing in a void" variants miss entirely. She looks graceful, fast, and effortless, like she is gliding through the Canadian wilderness rather than just waiting to be played on turn 6.

Her expression has that perfect mix of confidence and approachability. It is not the overly aggressive scowl we see on so many superhero cards; it is just pure joy in flight. The white starburst emblem pops beautifully against the darker suit, drawing your eye right to the center of the frame.

For the split, do not overthink this. An Infinite Blue Border is going to look spectacular, blending seamlessly with the icy background and the blue energy swirling around her hand. If you want to get fancy, a White Krackle would look like falling snow, turning this card into a perfect winter masterpiece.

12/24

Fast, Furious, and Frozen

Artist: PANDART STUDIO

Source: Super Rare

If the previous Aurora variant was a graceful flight through the night sky, this one is the impact when she finally lands a punch. PANDART STUDIO brings its signature kinetic, anime-inspired style to the table, and it completely transforms the character.

This variant of Aurora shows her in full combat mode. The foreshortening on that glowing hand is fantastic; it feels like she is reaching right out of the frame to freeze your opponent's lane shut. The sharp angles of her hair and the intensity of her expression give her a dangerous edge that the base art completely lacks. She looks like a shonen protagonist about to unleash her ultimate move.

I also love that they emphasized her slightly pointed ears here, leaning into that distinct, almost elven look she sometimes sports in the comics. The background is a blur of motion, which sells the idea that she is moving at supersonic speeds. It is aggressive, sharp, and totally badass.

For the split, you want to keep it cool. If you are lucky enough to get a Blue Krackle with an Ink Finish, this card would look absolutely lethal, like a frozen moment in time from a high-budget animated series.

Itching for a Fight

Artist: Winking Studios

Source: Bundle Scratching That Itch

Winking Studios has delivered a Nicholas Scratch that looks like he walked straight out of an RPG cutscene. The level of polish here is undeniable.

The color theory here is classic Villain 101. The lighting on the armor is fantastic, giving the gold plating a realistic sheen that contrasts nicely with the soft, magical glow emanating from his hands.

He looks incredibly arrogant, which fits the character perfectly. He has that "I am better than you, and I am about to prove it with this 2 Power play" energy. The swirling purple mist adds a nice texture to the background without making the card feel too busy. It is a solid, grounded look for Agatha's son.

For the split, you have a few great options. A Neon Purple Border is the obvious choice to match the magic effects. However, a Neon Green Border would really make that armor pop and emphasize the "villainous" vibe. If you go for a Gold Finish, it will blend perfectly with the gold accents on his chest and shoulders, making him look like the Sorcerer Supreme he wishes he were.

The Coolest Slide in the Game

Artist: Jesus Saiz

Source: Rare

Jesus Saiz, a NEW Artist in MARVEL SNAP,  gives us a Bobby Drake who is absolutely vibing on his ice slide. He is surfing forward with confidence.

The texturing on his skin is top-notch here. It actually looks like dense, reflective ice rather than just a guy painted blue, with light catching the hard angles of his musculature. The pose is dynamic and classic X-Men.

I really appreciate the background work on this one. The massive, jagged shards of ice behind him frame the character perfectly, but it is that subtle hint of warm orange light in the distance that makes the whole thing pop. It creates a temperature contrast that makes the blue of the ice feel even colder.

For the split, you have to respect the elements. A Ice Blue Border is the only logical choice to extend that ice slide right to the edge of the card. If you are lucky enough to snag a White Krackle, it will look like fresh powder snow kicking up from Iceman's slide.

The Soft Side of Mischief

Artist: Peach Momoko

Source: Bundle Sleigh King

Peach Momoko brings her signature watercolor dreamscape to the God of Mischief, and it is a breath of fresh air. We are used to seeing Loki looking devious, chaotic, or smug, but here he seems surprisingly... regal?

The profile view gives him a noble quality that we rarely see. The soft, bleeding watercolors blend the green of his scaled tunic and the pale yellow of his cape beautifully. It feels less like a comic book panel and more like an illustration from a vintage fairy tale book found in a dusty library.

The lighting on the scepter is delicate, casting a gentle glow that highlights his face without being harsh.

For the split, you want to enhance that royal vibe. A Gold Border is mandatory to match that iconic horned helmet and the scepter. If you get a Gold Finish, the entire card will look like an ancient Asgardian scroll.

12/26

OPTIC BLAST!

Artist: Junggeun Yoon

Source: Super Rare

Junggeun Yoon is back this week with another absolute banger. We just looked at his Doctor Strange, and now he is giving Scott Summers the gritty, high definition treatment he deserves. This is not the stiff, boring Cyclops who stands in the back yelling orders, but a Cyclops who levels a Sentinel with a single glance. The intensity in his expression is palpable; you can practically hear him screaming "OPTIC BLAST" as he unleashes that beam.

The detail that really sells this for me is the dissipating red energy smoking off his visor. It blasts a sense of heat and raw power that a simple red line usually misses. The lighting is moody and dramatic, with the red glow reflecting off his hair and the detailed texturing of his blue suit.

For the split, do not overcomplicate it. A Neon Red Border is essential to match that optic blast. A Gold Finish would also look incredible, contrasting the blue suit with the yellow straps and the golden background.

12/27

The Phoenix of Psychedelia

Artist: Vincenzo Riccardi

Source: Super Rare

Vincenzo Riccardi does not do subtle, and thank goodness for that. This Jean Grey variant is an absolute explosion of color that looks like it was painted with liquid neon.

The first thing that hits you is the texture. It has that signature Riccardi style where the colors seem to melt and swirl into each other, creating a shifting, oil slick effect that is honestly mesmerizing. Her classic green suit is there, but it is reflecting the fiery oranges, purples, and yellows of the psychic energy exploding around her.

It looks like what happens when you rub your eyes too hard and start seeing the secrets of the universe. The intensity in her eyes is fantastic.

For the split, you need to be careful not to lose the magic. Just a Green Border is the best way to anchor the chaos back to her X-Men roots.

THE WRAP-UP

BANG BANG! I want to wish everyone an amazing and Happy Holidays! To celebrate, this Friday, 12/26, I will pick a winner and gift them something special. All you have to do is comment below which variant this week is your favorite, and I will reach out.

Until next time, keep collecting those variants, and I'll catch you all in the next one. Peace!
