Ghost-Spider is here as the new Season Pass for Marvel Snap in June.
This opened up a wide variety for DefaultDan and I to dive into. We talked about it in one of the latest articles about how diverse Ghost-Spider is going to be. So yes, of course your first thought is going to be that she is a move card. Therefore, I need to work towards a move deck. It was a lot of fun to bounce off different ideas and look at all the different archetypes into which she could be molded while also looking at where she's going to synergize best within move. And for once, it was kind of nice to see that DefaultDan and I both agreed that she's going to be a flexible character who will not be confined. Her diversity is balanced within her stat line, and her ability opens new synergies and plays that were not possible beforehand. Do we think she's going to be relevant on the ladder? Absolutely. Conquest Mode? Not sure.
In Conquest Mode, having some of those cheeky plays is going to be important to keep your opponent on their toes.
So, whether it be through an RNG card from The Avengers series or keeping that perfect turn six secret play for later in the battle, figuring out the easiest path to victory is going to be incredibly difficult because everybody's journey is going to be incredibly different. One wrong matchup and four wins in a row can go right out the window. Do you feel like you're the kind of player who can be flexible with any card that's essentially handed to them, so you can play to the strengths of a character like Agent Coulson? Or are you the type of player who loves consistency and knows that they're going to have a 70%+ chance of pulling the combos in the order that they need every time? Unlike Ladder, Friendly Battles, and Tournaments, Conquest Mode is going to create a brand-new style of deck building depending on your personal archetype as a gamer.
