I built this version of 2 power Cerebro in an effort to handle the biggest issues the deck generally faces:
There are just a ton of locations that are terrible for the deck (anything that alters power, locations that add minions) andÂ
the deck isn't consistent, especially if/when you don't draw Cerebro.
To handle the first, we have Storm and Beast. Storm can cancel out most of the locations that alter power, and Beast can pick up the minions from Monster Island or X-Mansion (also ninjas and raptors, but those aren't generally deal breakers like the first two). Wakandan Embassy still generally ruins our day, unless we get ultra lucky and it only hits Cerebro, Mystique, and/or Warlock.
Speaking of Warlock, he's in there to address problem 2. With the low curve of the deck, you'll often be ahead the first few turns. Getting even 1 draw off of Warlock does a lot for the consistency of the deck, and 2 nearly guarantees a strong finish.
Spidey and Storm provide good lane control, and you shouldn't have an issue getting enough 2s on the board. Try to save Cerebro+Mystique for turn 6 to avoid Rogue or Enchantress, if you can.
9/20 Patch: we lost Spidey but gained Blue Marvel. I'll be testing to see how the deck works post patch
