Guide Coming Soon
This version is called Sunny Sera cause as you can see it doesn't run Storm in it. Why would you ever consider this? Some might say, cause most silver surfer decks don't have great turn 3 plays, playing brood or maximus on turn 4 after a lane is stormed is a hard over commit to a lane, the only okey option is juggernaut besides that everything feels like too much imo. I have been playing a similar version to this one (I don't have Maximus) and have found a lot of success with it.
I will do a quick recommendations and comments about swappable cards.
Turn 2 cards:
- I'm still not sold on Domino. Although in this deck, I could see a consideration to run her just cause you don't run any 4 cost card and most times Sera would be better than Angela + 3 drop on 5. The biggest red flag with domino is that it affects your draws and your Silver Surfer + Sera games have a better CR (cube rate) than any other games.
- Angela is better into Leader games, but I have been running into less Leader.
Turn 3 cards:
Lets talk about Killmonger. At the moment of writing this I have a big problem with Killmonger there aren't a lot of 1 drops going around on Pool 3 meta (at least against the people I have faced) and to make him cohesive in this deck you must run Nova, which I'm not a 100% sold on, when I tried a version with Killmonger + Nova it sucked when it was turn 4 or 5 and I drew a 1 mana 2 power card. I believe having stronger turn 6 plays and running more synergistic cards are better for the deck.
- Juggernaut can work without Storm, I don't have him so idk if his ability is strong enough to consider him.
- Polaris I don't have her, so cant make any argument.
- I don't have Rogue, but she seems like a Wildcard when I have faced against her, she is sometimes a game changer and sometimes a dead card, if you have her give it a try with her and tell me how was it.
- Cosmo has always been a weird card for me, on non-ongoing decks he can a lot of times work more against you than your opponent, so he is hard to evaluate. I haven't tried him enough to give an honest opinion.
Why Chavez
She just makes the deck consistent, at first I was like hating on the fact that I have a "useless" turn 6 play, but she is an amazing COUNTER to wave decks. If you know you are going to get wave on 5 just drop 2 drop and 3 drop on 5 and then you have 9 power guaranteed on 6. So the fact that she makes A + B combos more consistent, for example Angela + Bishop, on turn 2 and 3, and Silver Surfer + Sera; and also can bail you out on turn 6 in some games that makes her an underrated card. in this archetype.
