Intro
A version of Daredevil Destroyer that focus on control gameplay more than destroy gameplay.
Destroy package (hood, bucky, carnage, deathlock) replaced by more control options (Iceman, BlackWidow, Killmonger)
Pros :
- has counters to a lot of decks while being pretty sturdy itself.
Cons :
- bad at getting cubes. As we often lock a lane on T5 and our T6 destroyer is very predictable, op will often concede at end of turn 5.
Win con
The deck objective is to force your opponent to focus on one or two locations. Giving you a "free" win on the third and use high power cards (warpath, destroyer) to win another.
Card analysis
- Destroyer : main finisher. Huge raw power on T6.
- Professor X : prevents Destroyer ability from destroying your second lane. Often wins a lane by himself as opponent will often leave one location empty or very weak. Good counter to a lot of finishers (movement, wong, etc)
- Goblins (Green, Hob) : not affected by Destroyer and takes a spot in op lane. Green can discourage op to play here and Hob can "lock" a almost filled lane on T5.
- Warpath : great with Goblins. Huge power as we will have cards on only 2 lanes.
- Killmonger : As we aim to force op to play on only 2 lanes, zoo decks are an issue. Also removes early plays to force op to focus on 2 lanes.
- Cosmo : best dog ever!! On reveal decks are everywhere. Can also prevent Destroyer ability to trigger.
- Colossus : very useful in some locations (death domain, volmir, -x location) and can be played outside Armor or X range to support Destroyer on his lane.
- Armor : protect your lane from Destroyer and counter self-destroy decks. Also prevent those decks to sac Goblins.
- Daredevil : Great with Professor X and Hobgoblin to lock a lane.
- Black widow : slow op by preventing his draw phase. The bite card is good with Goblins to fill op lane. And will often gives you indication on wich lane the op will probably leave weak.
- Iceman : to slow opponent and prevent him to play too many cards.
Tips
- Use Iceman, Blackwidow, Daredevil as bait. Remember that you want one lane filled with power and another won "free" with few cards. So you don't need the low power of those cards. You can play them to draw op attention to one lane and leave them here with no support. If they draw 2/3 cards from the opponent, that's great.
- Don't take the hot spots. Leave all +x location to the opponent. Use 1 or 2 power cards to bait. Op will be tempted to play a lot of cards here so that means the other locations are yours to be taken.
- Take the cold spots. -x locations are great for you. Op will leave those lane weak wich can be taken easily by Professor X and/or Colossus+GreenGob. Same goes for death domain, volmir (colossus, late armor)
