Don't be fooled by the big boys - this is a control list. Use the high power of your cards to seize priority and control your opponent's plays. Daredevil is absolutely mandatory to know which lanes to lockdown.
When used correctly, turn 6 Cosmos and turn 5 Professor X can checkmate surfer decks, which were BY FAR the most common deck I ran into while climbing to infinite. Another common scenario I'd run into was that people would expect turn 6 Destroyer and then get face melted by Zero + Red Skull.
Replacement ideas:
To make this easier I'll divide the deck into its parts.
Daredevil / Professor X / Cosmos / Armor - The core of the strategy. If you replace these cards you're changing the idea of the deck.
Sunspot / Scorpion / Lizard - These are the most easily replaceable. They serve as a way to control the early game so that you can have priority. Some cores I suggest: Nova + Hood + Killmonger, Nightcrawler + Angela, Carnage + Bucky Barnes. There's probably a lot of other viable cores.
Zero / Attuma / Red Skull / Destroyer - If you don't have zero DO NOT run Attuma / Red Skull. You could try Luke Cage / Enchantress / Typhoid Mary, but it's awkward with Cosmos and Armor. Look for high power replacements that generally don't lose to Leader, like Black Panther / Arnim Zola. Typhoid Mary is way worse then Attuma - Attuma can win lanes vs Leader on turn 6, for example. Rescue is a pretty good replacement for Attuma to win a Professor X lane with.
Aero - Aero's job is to punish greedy combo decks that do very little until last turn, or serve as an alternative combo disruption tool for DD turn 5. Leader is a great replacement, although he's kind of bad in this meta. Leech is risky but not too bad considering how good you are building up power throughout the match.
