This deck has multiple avenues of attack with overlapping cards, which gives us a very flexible game plan.
Beast: One of the lynchpins of this deck. The main goal here is to make either Demon or Titania cost 0, which essentially hides their final position from the opponent. This allows them to team up with Professor X on turn 5 to lock down a lane with an extra 8 or 9 power, or to be sequenced out after Valkyrie to break her symmetry.
Darkhawk: A flexible card that can be a large pile of stats or simply a Valkyrie symmetry breaker. By reusing our Korg and Black Widow with Beast, Darkhawk can be a potentially large point slam on turn 6 along with our high power 1 drops, but even as a naked 4/6 with 0 base power, it can team up with Valkyrie to win many locations. A single Korg or Widow making him a 4/8, on the Valkyrie turn, gives a total of 14 power that will outmuscle any opponent who can’t break Valkyrie symmetry.
Valkyrie: One of the primary win conditions, Valkyrie allows you to play on a different axis than your opponents. We have many ways to break her symmetry, including Darkhawk’s Ongoing ability, Elektra reducing the number of cards in the opponent’s location, large stat 1-drops to sequence after her, and Angela’s triggered ability. With cost-reduced 1-drops from Beast, Valkyrie can often swing a location from being totally empty to being full and bigger than your opponent; just be careful to try and not have priority when you play her on the last turn.
