This is a slightly edited version of Jeff Hoogland's "Moon Miles" deck. One of my favorite decks in theory so I was pretty ecstatic to play it when I finally pulled jugg after being almost entirely pool 3 complete and I can definitely say it did live up to the hype. Super fun deck that is afforded a lot of interaction so it gets suprising game that you wouldn't expect into the top decks (at least shuri and galactus). I've been using it to climb back up because I've allowed myself to decay a lot and It was pretty smooth sailing from 40-60.
The swaps I made were [Iron fist for The Hood], [Angela for Viper], and [Leech for Shang-Chi].
Iron fist just felt like an underperformer after 20 or so games of testing. Another trigger for miles was nice and the angela synergy was there but it just felt so bad as a thing I may have had to copy and just generally not super impactful in any given game. Hood on the other hand has been stellar since the swap. Multiple demons is such a huge boon especially in a meta without a ton of killmonger.
Angela is a good card. I have noticed that the nerfs hit her harder than I thought they would; a lot of decks that used to just get to free roll angela and not feel bad about it can't really afford the slot anymore. She is much more often a "synergy" card in move decks or bounce decks that can get extra triggers out of her and this deck is no exception. After testing I decided that angela wasn't really standing out for me in this deck. Just having 2 extra ways to trigger her isn't great and this is especially true after I decided that iron fist was an underperformer even with this synergy, so just having the night crawler as an extra way to trigger her meant she definitely wasn't going to cut it. She was also very poor to play multiple of at the end of the game from moon girl whereas viper can at least function as a regular 2/3 or 1/3 into a path full of infinity stones. Viper was mostly chosen because of her inherent synergy with hood but she also carries along with her a lot of really convenient utility. You can pass over stones or squirrels to clog their board further (and then fill up that location with a titania/aero/jugg play), you can pass back goblins your opponent has given to you, you can even pass back bad hits off of x mansion like electro.
Leech was more of a meta pick at the time. Jeff chose to put Leech in the deck as a counter to Silver Surfer which was, at the time, the best deck by a fair margin. And, granted, Leech is still a monster of a card as we all know but it doesn't work as well in your average deck or this one as it does for Thanos decks. Often times I would find that Leech would clutter up my hand when I was trying to set up a good moon girl and I would end up just not playing it out in a game. My turn 5 is just so much better spent playing aero, or maybe an amount of 1 cost 5s or 6s and then double maxing last turn. The opportunity cost of me playing out the card was much greater than the benefit I was getting from it in this meta. In thanos it is a great counter to some of it's matchups that would otherwise be quite difficult, but in this deck the leech effectively comes out too late to be relevant against the best decks especially since every deck that can do anything this meta is already adjusted to the early leech that thanos can potentially do. Shang-Chi, however, is really good this meta. Pretty much every deck that's playable right now has a shang-chi target and this card gives us huge game that we wouldnt otherwise have into shuri. Although people will always play shang-chi even when it's a really questionable option, this is definitely the time to play shang-chi if ever there was one and I think it slots in this list very nicely.
Edit: Removed the nerfed quin jet for kitty pryde (a great card to double up with moon girl) and I swapped shang chi for enchantress as the better meta call right now. I was pretty gloomy about this deck but it's probably not quite as bad as I think since kitty pryde is a great card. Doubling up aero was super strong before though and now aero is just a decent top end card that turns on miles and counters galactus.
Edit2: Another deck I'm trying silk in (removed enchantress). Helps to trigger miles which can be a little weird sometimes since I removed iron fist from the original list and also lowering our curve is very helpful since spending energy on kitty each turn makes it tricky to dump hand sometimes. This will make it easier and also sometimes we just get to double silk double titania last turn for 20 power out of nowhere. I'll have to see how much I miss having the one tech card in this list though.
