Finally, a Ronan deck for Series 3 that actually works! It combines disruption, lane control, and spreading power to win cubes.
Deck Updated: 6 May 2023
Early Game: Be as mean as you want with Ice Man, Mordo, and Scorpion, then lockdown the lane with Ebony Maw. With the release if Nebula, I’ve subbed her in for Ebony Maw Nebula plays very well with Storm by controlling where the enemy wants to play
Mid Game: You have a few choices. My go-to is Storm followed by Jessica Jones to try and lockdown a lane. You can also anticipate their plays with Cosmo to later protect your Ronan. In a pinch, you can play Maximus but that should be a last resort.
Late Game: On turn 5, I generally play Ronan. They won’t know what to do since nobody plays Ronan. On turn 6, you can play Dr. Doom to spread out power. You can also follow Ronan up with Maximus then Cosmo, or Mordo. You can also just play Chavez if needed.
Popular Decks to Play Against:
Galactus: I just try to Storm the lane they are going to play Galactus. I usually follow it up with Cosmo or Shang-Chi and hope for the best.
Patriot: You can try to out-power them, but your early disruption plays are going to be what has the biggest impact here.
Discard/Dracula: While not very popular right now, this deck can still beat Discard/Dracula if you get the right draw. Typically, you want to close the game with Maximus and play the odds.
Darkhawk/Dino: You’ve already won and they just don’t realize it yet. Ronan/Mystique and Shang-Chi is almost all you have to play.
