This list is based on one of my favorite decks, Zabig Bois, which applies a lot of the same concepts. I find this list is much more reliable for conquest mode, and I'm going to be grinding that mode with this deck.
The Game Plan
The key cards here are Dracula and Jubilee which allow us to pull some very powerful high-cost cards, with Zabu and Wave enabling our deck with cheap play costs.
The play-pattern is pretty simple. Our 1-costs are high value, our mid-costs enable our high cost cards to be played for cheap, and all of our high-cost cards are large value.
The Decklist
- Sunspot is an easy 1-cost inclusion in case your hand gets bricked. He can stall for you while you get those combo pieces, and is a natural synergy with The Infinaut.
- Nebula is a high value, low risk card that can add pressure to our opponent.
- Zabu is an easy inclusion when you have as many 4-cost cards as there are in this list. Playing Zabu into an empty lane also sets up an easy turn 3 Crossbones right after, which is a simple but effective combo for 10 power on turn 3.
- Wave is the backup plan if you need to get your cards down and don't have the right discounts and acts as a tech card against combo lists.
- Dracula is a 2-for one special when it comes to this list. He adds enormous pressure to a lane since his ability cannot be countered, and he cheats out the power of our 5 and 6 cost cards.
- Jubilee is an alternative to Dracula, but also acts as a way to thin your deck out when you're missing key cards.
- Shang-Chi is a great tech-card that can really steal games and can be paired with a Ghost Rider on turn 6 to make a huge power swing.
- Crossbones is a simple card with nuanced requirements. I find he pairs the best with Zabu, either to boost your Zabu lane or to throw in on turn 6 to secure a lane you might lose. He's also a nice pull with Jubilee and isn't the worst target for Dracula.
- Red Skull is a high-power 5 drop and doesn't require setup, but obviously works best as a target for Dracula or a lane that isn't full.
- America Chavez thins our deck and makes a good target for Dracula.
- Giganto is a big 'ol 6 drop that makes a great target for Dracula and Jubilee while also providing an easy 14 power should you need it last turn. His requirement can be constrictive, but as described above, we have ways around it.
- The Infinaut is a classic for any discard list, and he's an obvious choice to use with Dracula. Sunspot and Jubilee also work as alternate play lines.
The Wrap-Up
This deck is simple, strong, and has multiple ways to get a ton of power on the board. We'll see if it makes a good conquest deck, but I'm confident in its fundamentals.
