Jean has two problems other than the current meta:
- Filling the lane too early means, the opponent can out muscle you or retreat early.
- If your opponent fills the lane early, you are at a disadvantage.
I know those two downsides are present for the opponent too, but your deck needs to be designed to answer to overcome it. There are two ways to deal with this.
- Cards that can grow or have its power increased after it is played. Examples: Hawk (Rockslide later), Bishop, Sunspot, Evo Cyclops, Morbius, etc. Even Collector or playing Spectrum last turn. Something that let you catch up even if you fill the lane early.
- The other solution is to fill the lane early with cards that can be moved. Like NightCrawler, Jeff, Vision and moving it later to put more power there while your opponent has to over commit in that lane.
This deck tries to take the second approach.
Play Jeff or Night Crawler and follow it by Jean in the latter turns. This also means Nebula can get big on some other lane.
I am not sure about Miles here. Could replace him with another control card. Maybe Goose
This deck suffers against Bounce but honestly which deck doesn't currently. Also, Kill Monger can shave off significant power by killing Nebula, Rocket and Crawler.
This might not do well against decks that go tall. Which makes me want to sub in Shang for Miles. Shang can solo Jean's lane in that case.
Feel like this deck has some potential. Any suggestions welcome here.
