This deck popped up several months ago, only to be over-powered by other, newer, flashier decks. With a few modern updates, though, this deck is better than ever!
The basic gameplan is obvious: buff all your Ongoing cards with Spectrum, and/or debuff all your opponent's cards with Hazmat. 7 of your cards innately possess Ongoing abilities, and Iron Lad/Rogue will most of the time also. Zabu and Sera are there to provide some important cost-reductions, and Mobius helps protect those effects.
Two of the easiest ways for your opponent to counter your strategy is
- their own Luke Cage, or
- their own Mobius.
...and Rogue handily deals with either of those possibilities. She provides you with an extra layer of consistency if you aren't able to draw your copy of those cards, while also deny your opponent those important effects.
Besides protecting your side of the board from Hazmat shenanigans, Luke Cage has the added upside of nullifying the drawbacks of both Lizard and Typhoid Mary.
The early game is fairly straightforward - play out your cards strategically on curve. If you get the opportunity to play Wave on Turn 3 into Sera on Turn 4, that's often a good idea. Otherwise, your best Turn 5/6 plays will often look something like this:
Turn 5: Sera, or Wave + Mobius (or a different 2-drop if you have Mobius out already)
Turn 6: Spectrum + Hazmat (bonus points if you have Wong there)
