RIP 05/Dec/2023: This deck concept has been brutaly murdered by latest patch. Luke only protects one lane and his power is 3, so that kills this C2 both for power and the inability to protect all cards from Hazmat, another card that can no longer exist in a Cerebro deck. So this is useless now beyond any possible modification.
Reason for name: I was in doubt between Cerebro Plateado or Silver Brain, as a way to show the unusual mix of those two archetypes, so at last I thought it was better to go full Spanish. This particular deck is a bit outdated because of Spider-Ham, I'm posting it exactly as it was mostly because it was the one that made me won my first Infinity Conquest, and surprisingly for me, it made it very easy, after playing just 2 infinity tickets (05/Sep/2023) (and both times I reach the last match). I also haven't seen anyone posting any deck even similar to this one after all this time, so I guess it's still like new.
Anyway with slight changes it still works today. You could change Spider-Ham for any other 1/2 or 2/2 card (chose your warrior depending on your playstyle and current meta, I most likely would choose Goose, as it doesn't bother you except for Wong and could protect your Cerebro/Mystique from Enchantress, also would help you mess with possible plans your rival has. Echo and Daredevil together could also be considered (taking also Iceman out of this deck), as Echo could prevent a Cosmo messing your Wong or your Mystique, or with the help of Daredevil, prevent some rival ongoing card in turn 5 if you have priority.
It's an unusual deck because it seems to mix two archetypes that don't mix well together (and one that works well with both).
We have:
- Typical Cerebro-2 (having a Luke and two location changers, very useful to avoid them messing your Cerebro)
- Hazmat
- Silver Surfer
As you guess, Silver Surfer and Cerebro-2 don't work always nice because not all the cards are 3 cost and Cerebro doesn't like cost changes, but that's the thing that actually makes it very flexible and helps to confusse your rival, you just have to take in consideration how the game is going, how much you're controlling the board and locations and react to that. Most people playing against you will think is one type of deck, Enchantress or Cosmo your cards and think "I made it". You just change the archetype. They mess your Cerebro? Wong-Mystique-Hazmat-Silver Surfer. They mess your Wong, just go full Cerebro or Cerebro Hazmat.
Your biggest problem will be this: if you already are playing Cerebro you will be tempted to play Silver Surfer at the end. If you do, only do it after you have count how much you will lose. If you're just Cerebro without Mystique, sometimes it can be good for you if there are enough 3 cost cards on board and you're Silver Surfing with Wong, but if you're already doing Cerebro and Mystique avoid probably always that Silver Surfer (except if after doing the math you realize that only one locations is negatively affected but it guarantess you other two locations, of course).
