Asgore Dreemurr (represented by Heimdall) 6/10 "Starts in your hand and gives you +3 Max Energy, but you can't gain or lose Max Energy." In summary, Asgore permanently sets your Energy per turn to 4 at the start of the game. This new way to structure a deck leads to many new opportunities for deck ideas, like the one depicted here. This is my fourth deck with Asgore, and it's certainly not the last. It takes advantage of the convenient pricing of the High Evo package: High Evolutionary himself is a 4-Cost card as well as The Thing: Evolved, and Cyclops: Evolved is a 3-Cost card that can fuel itself with the 1 Energy left over from playing it. Additionally, Abomination: Evolved can use the afflictions to be played under the ceiling of 4 Energy. Man-Thing and Doctor Octopus are always good additions for Asgore decks, and this is especially true for an Asgore affliction deck. Silver Sable and Cassandra Nova make for good play routes: Silver Sable + Gladiator, Cassandra Nova + Gladiator, Gladiator + Cyclops: Evolved, Cassandra Nova + Doctor Octopus, Silver Sable + Doctor Octopus, and so on. Shang-Chi can take out any big threat that Gladiator, Man-Thing, or Abomination: Evolved may struggle with, and Iron Lad struggles to hit a bad target in this deck. This deck gets countered easily by Ongoing decks with Luke Cage, Mobius M. Mobius, or U. S. Agent, so an Ongoing counter can easily replace Silver Sable or Doctor Octopus when needed. If not, just make sure to get your Abomination down early.
