HAPPY NICK FURY DAY!
Nick Fury is the latest card to be added to Marvel Snap! This is the deck I'll be playing Nick Fury in during day-1. This is simply a theory craft, but I think it is a good starting point.\
Who am I?
I've been involved in a variety of Marvel Snap community projects, I've recently started streaming on Twitch and making some YouTube content too. I'll be playing the deck live on Twitch.TV ( https://www.twitch.tv/willowsnapping ) if you have any questions. For now I'll make my case for each card.
Why these 12?
Blade -
Blade is a cheap discard effect. In combination with Wong, which we are already running he is a pseudo Hellcow.
Invisible Woman -
I wanted to make a Hela deck that didn't feature Invisible Woman, but she simply opens up too many route to not be core for the Hela package. For those who haven't seen the synergy yet, we put all of our discard effect & hela under invisible woman to effectively control our discard outcomes.
Colleen Wing -
Colleen Wing is a cheap discard effect which we need a lot of, so we are basically choosing between Lady Sif and Colleen Wing for this slot. Colleen targets the cards we actually want to discard. We essentially never want to discard Hela or Doctor Doom (Before turn 6).
Sword Master -
Since the 3 Energy change to Sword Master, I think his stats are fairly appealing though he is probably the weakest of our discard cards (for this particular deck)
Dracula -
Dracula is fine to discard or play & his effect will frequently target a 6-cost card generated by Nick Fury.
Wong -
Wong servers an exciting role in this deck. His synergy with Hela is potent but not exactly intuitive so allow me to explain. If earlier in the game you discard a discard card, so example lets say you discard Blade with Colleen Wing. Then you Hela on the same location, Hela will bring back Blade > Blade's effect will trigger, discarding a card > then Hela's effect will reactive, summoning the newly discarded card.
Hellcow -
Helllcow discards two cards.
Captain Marvel -
Captain Marvel being summoned by Hela at the end of the game is honestly so good, after having played quite a bit of Hela at this point I can't ever imagine not running Captain Marvel anymore.
Nick Fury -
Our new build around card!
Doctor Doom -
The core concept of this deck is about coming up with 12 cards that are both good to discard and play from our hand. Doctor Doom is a perfect example of this, as he synergizes with our Wong & when Doom is summoned from Hela, it is usually good for us.
Hela -
Hela is our OTHER build around card.
Black Cat -
I've left Black Cat for last, because I think she is the first card I will cut. But she is good fuel for Hela.
