Series 3 Tier List – Ranked & Conquest
Marvel Snaps’ biggest grind for players is the journey through Series 3. Series 3 has the most cards out of any other series, with 99 cards. Although completing Series 3 is a grind, it is exciting to go through the journey and begin to piece together highly viable decks that can compete with some of the most expansive collections in the community.
I do understand that getting to that end point can lead to some frustration due to the time investment it takes, but series 3 is an excellent tool to prepare players for the level of gameplay once they are series 3 complete. What I mean by this is that when you are going through Series 3, you still may not have the most ideal deck composition, but the ability to understand the core functions of what your deck is trying to do and make supplements is crucial as it will improve deck theory crafting and playing in less than optimal situations.
This tier list should be viewed as a resource for understanding a few core functions within the game. The first function is the importance of card roles. Some of these card roles include being the power play in the deck, a complement to another card’s success, a card that is flexible, such as a card that is able to move, and a defensive/counter card. The second function is the effect of meta cards and deck lists on other cards, whether that’s beneficial or disadvantageous. Finally, the third role is analyzing the impact a card has when played and how much it contributes to a victory, no matter what type of card is in the current meta.
The card that stands out most in this tier list is Hazmat. Not only does that card hold a respectable place on all the tier lists presented below, but the reason Hazmat stands out for me is that the card's success doesn’t elevate the other cards that synergize with Hazmat like Wong, Debrii, Sentry, and Viper to name a few. Instead of Hazmat elevating the other cards that the card synergizes with, Hazmat has become more of a compliment to other archetypes, like High Evolutionary, hence his formidable rank throughout this tier list due to the success of that archetype.
This tier list analyzes ranked win percentage, ranked average cubes, and conquest win percentage over the last 30 days of data. A card to look out for that has seen the most impact during the time frame presented in the tier lists is Agent Coulson. Agent Coulson has always been a solid card but never as accomplished as it’s been in the last 30 days. The card’s success can be linked with the release of Loki and how much of a necessity Agent Coulson is within that archetype. After the tier lists, I have provided some relevant deck lists that only include cards from prior to series 1, series 1, series 2, and series 3. I hope you enjoy the tier list and have a BEWDiful Day!
