A new art studio called Pandart, founded and led by Chengwei Pan, will have variants available in Marvel Snap starting on January 30th. The studio comprises experienced game artists who have previously worked on Riot Games properties, including League of Legends. If you're familiar with those games, you'll recognize Pandart's unique style, which features detailed and compelling characters with a sleek digital finish. To give you an idea of their work, here are some samples from Pandart's portfolio.
League of Legends Artwork
New Pandart variants are coming to the game on January 30th. These variants are expected to be some of the best yet for those characters. You can find them both in an album and in the shop. We have a gallery of all the currently datamined Pandart variants at the bottom of this article. However, I will highlight my favorite ones below. These are the ones I am most interested in picking up, and they have the highest chance of becoming a featured unlockable variant in an album. All of them are marked as Super Rare 1200 gold variants. It is possible that the bonus variant in the album may not be added to the game files yet and may only come with a patch that adds the album.
Bold action poses, and dramatic lighting characterizes the Pandart's variants. They have a definite style bursting with energy, but not excessively so. I am excited to see them animated, especially the Storm. The art style blends realism with futuristic stylization and a dynamic flair, capturing the essence of familiar characters with a clear trademark style. The backgrounds are pretty sparse, so they won't lose as much detail when we get a cool background split, unlike some of the existing cards in Snap. Pandart's art for other games was a bit more detailed and realistic. I hope we will see some of those elements in the future if Pandart creates more variants for the game.
