Ghost-Spider has been an absolute pleasant surprise.
Whether she is being used as a tech card or being used as a move mechanic, Ghost-Spider has been one of the best season pass cards to experiment with in the first week of the season in a long time. The amount of people that I've seen hit Infinite for the very first time utilizing Ghost-Spider has been staggering as well. If Second Dinner can provide us with more of these multipurpose cards that come in at low cost, I think we'll be in a really solid place for the next few months.
As for Silk, who was released today, trying to figure out her best use case is a challenge.
Whether we're looking to fill out a dead lane from somebody like Storm or a location like Sanctum Sanctorum, or just using her for base crazy epic power stats, Silk, yet again, is another two-cost card this season that creates variety in a bunch of different archetypes. Just like her compadre from last week, how you choose to play her will entirely be up to you, but I think it's pretty clear that she's going to be a nuisance to deal with either way.
Shiny toys are always fun, when we can get them.
Yet again though, the Marvel Snap card release process is extremely unique. When you look at other games like Magic the Gathering and Runeterra, you see large season expansion packs being released every few months, but then a large dip in new content in the intermittent time. However, with Marvel Snap, we have this coffee-filter-drip of new cards that we're encountering consistently. Each system has its pluses and minuses, and many players in the Marvel Snap community are considered pleasantly spoiled by the release schedule. As for the release system itself and the economy of card acquisition in the game, I think most of us can agree that there needs to be a rework. Second Dinner has come forward, saying in multiple different ways that there is something on the horizon that we just can't experience quite yet as they refine it. What that is, I don't know. But what I do know is that it can't come soon enough.
The footprint of the game is being reshaped.
Whether it be economy or time commitment, either way, investment into the game Is changing. The biggest question is, though: is it for the better? We look at the investments into Ladder and Conquest, the new Conquest Mode itself and what's it going to mean for you as a player, as a resource hoarder, and as a collector?
