Today we’ve got a brand new featured location; Noor Dimension!
Firstly, what the Noor is a Djinn?
For a 0-cost card, this thing does a lot! To break it down, it has an On Reveal, it provides extra energy, and it takes up a slot on the board. Although you can keep playing into the Noor Dimension, be cautious as you can clog your hand and board very quickly. The three decks I’ll highlight today each aim to take advantage of those different aspects of this new game piece.
Djinn Destroyer
There’s other fun cards to try here too including X-23 and Nimrod. Death might be overkill considering you’ll have a lot of excess energy regardless, but Deadpool + Moongirl seems like a great way to take advantage of all that Energy. Destroyer is a little over the top but could actually work today.
The point of this deck is to generate a ton of Djinns and then destroy them so you can keep making more. Killmonger can’t kill Djinns but Lady Deathstrike can so she earns a slot.
Really though, any flavor of Destroy is a great choice today, even if it’s a vanilla build you would’ve played yesterday. Playing a typical Destroy deck gives you more win equity without Noor Dimension, but this build really allows you to take advantage when it shows up!
On the subject of Djinns needing to be destroyed, you can also play a hybrid list incorporating some Junk elements, like Viper, which make it harder for your opponent to make the most out of Noor Dimension. I think this is actually a bad metagame call though because Destroy is so route one and such a terrible matchup for Junk decks.
Djinn Dog
Lockjaw is an excellent Djinn deck for multiple reasons. Firstly, the deck’s curve skews high and the Djinn energy can help you play your bombs like Giganto. Secondly, the free Djinns play perfectly into Lockjaw! But maybe the coolest aspect of this deck is being able to redraw your Djinn’s with Jane Foster!
There’s 2 ways to build Lockjaw today. One curve aims to have a Djinn before turn 3 so that you can Turn 3 Lockjaw + Djinn, setting up Turn 4 Jane to redraw your Djinns for Turn 5. The other way to play Lockjaw today is to play no cards under 3. Don’t even bother with Wasp. Turn 3 Lockjaw into Noor, giving you a Djinn, then each turn you cycle your new Djinn into Noor while deploying larger threats elsewhere.
Djinn Again
This last deck attempts to take advantage of the On Reveal aspect of the Djinns and maybe does some wacky stuff. This is probably the equivalent of my Sunspot deck from last week in how it is looking to go crazy over the top. The deck is looking to make a big Dino, Venom, or/and Black Panther while leaning on Djinn’s to support a larger curve. Nick Fury seems particularly fun today as he can be played alongside a Djinn to follow up with a 6 on turn 5. I’ll probably be fine tuning this one throughout the day and regardless of what I come up with I’ll put out a video tomorrow on whatever deck I had the most fun with!
Any fun ideas I missed? What will you be playing for this featured location? Let me know below!
