The Superflow
If you have no cards here, +1 energy each turn.
The Featured Location from July 8th, 2023 at 11pm EST to July 9th, 2023 at 11pm EST is The Superflow. As a featured location, it will have a 50% chance to appear in any ladder match. Now you must make a choice:
- Build INTO It
- Build AROUND It
- Ignore it
How to Build INTO it:
- Option A - Leave it open. Warpath dropping as a 4/9 is a great stat line knowing that when paired with Zabu, he could be played down as early as turn 2.
- Option B - Long DIstance. Mister Fantastic and Klaw can provide stats in the lane, without needing to actually play in it. Could be great for a sneaky turn 6.
- Option C -Get there later. Move cards like Jeff the Baby Landshark, Nightcrawler, etc, will be great for bolstering into this location later on in the final turn of the match. Arnim Zola also creates a combination of duplication and replacement to re-proc abilities for dominance. Mister Negative also plays into this because he can help swarm multiple 0-cost cards into that lane for a massive turn 6 swing.
How to Build AROUND it:
- Disruption Decks should have a LOT of fun with this location. While many players play INTO it, playing around it may end up being way more fun.
- Sending over rocks to eliminate the bonus for each player could be an easy path with Debrii.
- Getting down a Viper combo to eliminate your opponents ability to play into the lane seems incredibly likely as well. Playing her while coupled with cards like Sentry, Ebony Maw or Debrii is always a nuisance to work around.
- Both Green Goblin and Hobgoblin seem like obvious plays to me. ruin it for them, and it's still a perk for you!
When all else fails, destroy it.
Running either Storm, Rhino or Scarlet Witch will switch the location, therefore eliminating the ability entirely.
Deck Suggestion
SpaceBlock by WaCeLei
- This deck recently went to the Top 8 in the June Battle Arena 2 tournament this past weekend. It's focus is to disrupt and control with several 2-card combos to boot.
- With low-cost options for distruption in Titania, Viper and Green Goblin, we should see lots of competition on this lane as players get into turn 5.
- The dynamic duo of Storm/Juggernaut is incredibly strong and a great way to coax a won lane out early.
- Ronan into Maximus is incredibly under-rated and fits well with this disruption package. By occupying the board in unwanted locations, the limited spaces, even with increased energy, bode to a large hand size and will feed the turn 4 Ronan nicely.
- Sentry into Viper. Volley & serve!
