Cloning Vats
After you play a card here, add a copy to your hand.
The Featured Location from June 6th, 2023 at 11pm EST to June 7th, 2023 at 11pm EST is Cloning Vats. As a featured location, it will have a 50% chance to appear in any ladder match. Now you must make a choice:
- Build INTO It
- Build AROUND It
- Ignore it
How to Build INTO it:
- Having Jubilee be able to pull the top card of your deckout twice in this location can present great offensive and defense strategies in the Cloning Vatss. Clog it with strong power early on, or use two Jubilees back-to-back for strong and consistently predictable power with the right players.
- Venom could scale incredibly high since he is duplicated into your hand at his scaled level. So, if you load the lane up and Venom it, you then end up with a huge Venom that could eat itself again and double its power...or more.
- Black Panther can be treat similarly to the Arnim Zola synergy here as you'll be granted a 5/16 in your hand that will double up again if his duplicate is played on turn six.
- Devil Dinosaur & Ronan both benefit here as both players are more likely inclined to have larger hand sizes over the course of the next 24 hours.
- Green Goblin overloading that lane present a fun disruption tactic that could throw all the synergies above off when mixed with the right archetype.
How to Build AROUND it:
Giving out Debrii's rocks to each of these locations limits now many 'refills' of a card duplicate you obtain by one. In decks that look to overstretch this strategy, losing even just one space could cause an immediate retreat.
When all else fails, destroy it.
Running either Storm, Rhino or Scarlet Witch will switch the location, therefore eliminating the ability entirely.
Deck Suggestion
Thin & Grin
This deck focused heavily into playing INTO the location in a variety of ways. By utilizing Quicksilver, Domino AND America Chavez, we limit our Jubilee pulls and have clear line of sight for turns 3 & 4 before we even start the match. If you pull Zabu at the start of the game, he takes priority over Domino to play out on turn 2. Domino is guarenteed power as a backup plan that keeps the deck thin and limits the targets for Jubilee and Ironlad. This gives each of them over an 80% chance to have positively affected pulls. Top pull for Jubilee hands down is the Infinaut. As for Ironlad, If he can pop off as a Jessica Jones, Ironheart or even a 4/6 Black Panther, thats a huge win.
