The Amazing Spider-Season
Our favorite wallcrawler is back in black, and with him! Get your web shooters ready for Activate, a brand new mechanic! Joining the line-up this season we have Symbiote Spider-Man, Silver Sable, Madame Web, Araña, and Scarlet Spider! Who’s going to *thwip* their way to victory?
Season Pass Variants
InHyuk Lee is bringing his A game with these beautifully exclusive variants that you can only find on the premium track of the season pass. I particularly love Spider-Man’s variant which is an awesome homage to Amazing Fantasy #15, Spider-Man’s first comic appearance.
New Ability Type: Activate
Activate is a brand new ability being added to Marvel Snap. When a card has an Activate ability, you'll need to press and hold it until the ‘Activated’ message appears. Also, you can’t activate cards on the turn you play them and they can only be activated once per game. Activate will surely bring a ton of skill expression in this game. Keep your heads up because some old cards will be reworked with this new ability.
Season Cards
Symbiote Spider-Man will join Marvel Snap as a 4-Cost 6-Power and the first card ever with the Activate ability. When Activated, Symbiote will merge with the lowest-Cost card on your side of the board, copying their text and triggering their On-Reveal. I can already picture a ton of powerful combos that we could use him with. What about you, anything tingling your Spider-Sense?
Simple and Stylish, Silver Sable is a 1-Cost 1-Power with the On-Reveal of stealing 2-Power from the card at the top of your opponent’s deck. She seems small, but with her effect, she’ll be a 3-Power card, and if your opponent plays the card she stole power from, she’ll be a 5-Power differential for just 1 energy. Is she the reason Beast got nerfed?
It's Madamin’ time! Madame Web is a 2-Cost 1-Power card with the Ongoing effect of allowing you to move 1 of your cards away from her location each turn. Do you like playing Move decks? If the answer is yes, she has to be part of your arsenal together with the next spider.
Araña is here to kickstart your move decks. As a 1-Cost 1-Power card with the Activate of moving the next card you play to the right location and also giving it +2 power. She seems like Human Torch’s best friend. Together with Madame Web they make move decks extremely powerful and unpredictable.
I always get confused when clones get into the mix. Scarlet Spider is a 4-Cost 5-Power card with the unique Activate of creating an exact copy of himself in another random location. That means that every buff he grabs will also go towards the clone. Namora seems particularly strong with him. Any Scarlet Spider combos in mind?
