Get ready for the next season of Marvel Snap and for war! Surtur is coming, and so is Ragnarok! Joining the fray are Frigga, Malekith, Fenris Wolf, and Gorr through the Spotlight. King Eitri is bringing the food with the help of the second round of Deadpools Diner. Don’t let your Hammer fall before the battle starts!
Season Pass Variants
Andrea Guardino is a newcomer to Snap, and he is making a powerslide entrance worthy of the gods! These amazingly cool variants that even a Blind Guardian could appreciate can be yours if you claim the season pass.
Season Cards
Surtur didn’t start the war, but he sure intends to finish it. He is joining Snap as a 3-Cost 5-Power that gains +3 Power every time that you play a big guy (official name for cards that have 10 or more power). Is he bringing enough heat? Is Skaar his Best Friend Ever? Can you come up with a deck for him that doesn’t use Skaar?
The queen of Asgard is finally here! She is a 3/3 with the On-Reveal of copying the last card you played into your hand. She seems extremely interesting; what combos can we work with her? Does she combo with the rest of the family? Maybe getting a second Mjolnir might be good enough, but what other combos can we achieve with her help?
He always brings bad company. Malekith joins the game as a 4-Cost 6-Power card with the On-Reveal of adding from your deck a card that costs 1, 2, or 3 costs, with the added benefit of revealing it only at the end of the game. Can we make a deck with only 3 costs or higher to get more from him? I’m certainly going to try that.
Good boy! Fenris Wolf is a 2-Cost 3-Power card with the exceptionally unique effect of bringing a card that your opponent lost, whether by destruction or discarding. So sharpen your Shang-Chi and ready your Moon Knight because this Power Wolf is going to fetch your opponents cards.
Ironically, the God Butcher is the God of On-Reveals on Marvel Snap. Costing 6 energy for a measly negative 1 Power seems absurd, but he has the incredibly powerful Ongoing Effect of getting +2 Power for every card on the field with an On-Reveal effect. Every card that includes your opponent’s side of the field. Is he going to be the next Blob? What decks do you see him being crazy on? I’m going to try Thanos first!
Last but not least, King Eitri is bringing the feast. He is up on Deadpool Diner v2, so put those Spotlight Keys away if you want to grab him. He seems like a great card for the Hammerbros, Thor and Beta Ray; is he going to bring the archetype back into the mix? We shall see.
Deadpool’s Diner v2
Second Dinner is doing well with their promise of providing exciting seasons with different game modes. This time around is the hopefully triumphant return of Deadpools Diner. They mentioned that they fine-tuned it to be more enjoyable and less stressful for those that want to get all the rewards. We don’t have the full list of rewards, but we can see from the teaser that King Eitri will be in a similar spot as Cassandra Nova was on the last one, and the top reward will be a Jane Foster Mighty Thor variant.
