It is no secret that Second Dinner has been working on Alliances for a while now, scheduled to be released on July 30th. However, the information about what alliances bring has been scattered here and there, making it difficult to know exactly what to expect from Alliances. In this article, I’ll do my best to bring you every bit of information we have gathered so far on alliances. Just a small addendum: Second Dinner tends to change things around if the internal testing doesn’t work out, meaning that every piece of information I’ll give you is subject to change before or after release.
What Are Alliances?
Alliances are nothing less than Marvel Snap’s take on the Clan system that many other online games use. It has a different name but the same heart. The main idea is to provide a social experience inside the game. When Alliance arrives, you’ll finally have your hub for you and your friends. That is an amazing addition because right now, the only way for you to discuss anything about the game is to go to different websites and apps like Reddit and Discord.
We don’t know the exact functionalities of the chat just yet; maybe we will be able to share our variants, endgame screenshots, and decklists. If I find out, I’ll let you know.
There is even a bot to brag about your 8 Cubers!
So why would you want to join an alliance besides the social aspect? You haven’t heard from me, but Alliance members will have opportunities to work together to win extra rewards. Bounties will be posted for you to pick; you can pick three of them at a time. By completing those bounties, you will get points to work towards your own personal reward and the Alliance's shared rewards. Some bounties seem to award more points based on their rarity; we can see a legendary bounty posted on board. We don’t have all the information yet, but Bounties seems to have some exciting extra objectives to do during the week.
We were able to find the points and rewards through datamines. We don’t know if they will be the same every week, but this is a point of reference for what to expect as a reward.

If everyone works together, you should get the Alliance shared rewards easily. Although bounties have a limit to how much each individual counts towards the total, it will have a high score to see who contributed the most. Will you be a bounty hunter, always aiming for the highest score?
So, are you getting excited for Alliance's debut? I sure am.
Every Alliance will be unique. The most important customizable thing is the description; it will allow the Alliance Leader to profile what kind of environment their Alliance will be in. It doesn't matter if you’re a casual or competitive player; you can comb through the options and find yourself a home with many players with the same profile as you.
If you’re interested in creating your own alliance, you should be satisfied with the options to customize and flavor it as you’d like. Be an alliance of heroes, villains, or in-betweeners. For 100 gold, you’ll be properly presented, no matter your style. You can also dictate who can enter your alliance, setting your requirements as high as possible between Collection Level and the minimum highest rank achieved.
You might be wondering why you would want to restrict who can apply to your alliance, right? Through datamine, our team of experts discovered that Alliances will be limited to 30 members at a time. With such a small number, perhaps Alliance Leaders should handpick who is joining them. Perhaps the number will change in the future, but I believe this number is interlocked with the bounty system. If Alliances were allowed to bring many people to face those bounties, the goals would be reached in no time. They needed to balance it out, and it seemed they chose that option.
Pardon the Interruption
In common Deadpool style, we interrupt your alliance information to give you some information about Deadpool Domination. Deadpool Domination is upon us, and with a ton of content, events, and new features, we are about to come crashing into Marvel Snap. This season is the most exciting one ever! We will be getting events practically the entire month. Check out our article on Deadpool’s Dinner to keep up with all the Deadpool festivities.
The Future
Second Dinner seems to be going full throttle with its plans for Alliances. It will be the social heart of the game, finally giving us the tools to build communities inside it. It will be a haven for players to find friends or perhaps a colosseum to compete with many rivals to see who is the most avid player in a competition for the highest score.
They also mentioned that they will keep working on more expansions for it, the first one being Alliance Competitions. We don’t know how that will work; perhaps not even Second Dinner will know. Competition is the name of the game; it’s always great to have new ways to test your skills, especially when working together with your friends.
But what about you? Do you have any plans for Alliances? Will you be an Alliance Leader or join a mighty team? Will you go into full competition mode or mostly chat with your friends, sharing your crazy decks and spectacular matches? Will your Alliance be fighting for justice or Mischief? Let me know in the comments!
