Regained Infinite with the most fun deck I've made, or played at all for that matter!
Game Plan
The plan with the deck is to Storm win a location with as few resources as possible. I often won't play anything in the Flooding location, as you can easily reach into it later with Vision or Doctor Doom, or if you had Sunspot there from earlier that can help too.
The deck plays quite well into unknown locations and locations that are hard or impossible to play into, as you have location control with Storm, and great reach with Vision and Doctor Doom.
My 3 most used and favourite play patterns have been:
- T3 Storm > Jubilee (non Flooding location) > Vision > Doctor Doom
- T3 Storm > Jubilee (non Flooding location) > Pass > Infinaut
- T3 Storm > Jubilee (non Flooding location) > Vision/Devil Dino > Odin (with Jubilee)
You can win without Jubilee though! Don't give up solely due to a bad hand unless your opponent snaps, I've had plenty of games that I've won only playing 3-4 cards.
Card Discussion
Okoye is a very flexible slot, I had Lizard there for a while and Scorpion would work well too.
Armor is great for protecting Sunspot from Killmonger, or you bombs from Shang-Chi if you have unfavourable initiative for the final turn. Also great for disrupting destroy decks, or getting a head start in certain locations.
The Punisher will probably raise the most eyebrows. Though you could run some more synergistic cards, I feel he's needed as as an alt T3, or even T4 play, as Storm is often not impactful enough past T3. He also doesn't feel awful to pull with Jubillee, and has great freedom of placement. Simply put, his strength and versatility is unmatched against all other 3 drops in pool 2.
I may make changes as I dive further into pool 3, but I'm quite happy with the deck as is. You can play a plenty passable pool 2 build (as I did up til low 90s when I got Doctor Doom), swapping out Doctor Doom for Jessica Jones and and adjusting your play to consider playing into the Flooding location more often.
