Hey guys, welcome once again to another deck build. So here as usual, I'll be covering anything not noted in the deck breakdown part of the showcase. Note: I'm still CL982, meaning I do not have every single card to run with the deck. So, I make do with what I have.
Firstly, my thoughts on the deck. Now, this is a deck I've had fun playing around with snapping and the lockjaw Morbius high power play. It's definitely one I find myself playing over Surfer and Zabu decks since it brings about creativity over simple minded plays even at Omega rank, and that's what makes discard decks fun.
We have seconday plays like Lockjaw Gambit, Lockjaw Moon Knight, Lockjaw Colleen and Lockjaw Sif. These secondary plays only work best when you only have 2/3 card in deck beforehand. The idea of such play is to trigger the reveal effect twice by pulling them out once again after they're put in Lockjaw's location. It works perfectly if you can get a hang of it and is my go-to if I don't get Morbius early on.
Moving over to cons:
- This deck although is great, but seriously needs that Morbius card before turn 6. I usually retreat, but in some cases his power isn't needed to win the game. You might as well intimidate your opponent to retreat with the sheer number of Apocalypse and Swarm discards.
- You have to keep in mind Morbius' ability is on-going, this means he's countered by Enchantress and Rogue. I try to keep that at the back of my head when playing against on-reveal decks.
- You have a bad hand at turn 3, you'll lose. Just retreat, otherwise you'll just be discarding everything in your hand without added value.
Moving to pros:
- As mentioned earlier, it's a fun deck to play around and it's a great early pool 3 deck that still keeps me stable in Omega rank for someone who's still CL982.
- With the right play, you can outpower a lot of decks.
- The deck uses a lot of early cards which you'll get from pool 1 & 2, so it's kind of f2p friendly.
With MODOK coming for next pass, the value of this deck and other discard deck will definitely be a lot higher, and that is one to look out for if you plan on playing this deck.
