Hey guys, welcome back once again to another deck build breakdown and showcase. As usual I'll only be covering what I didn't mention in the deck breakdown section of the video.
So let's talk about what counters the deck and we have quite the list:
- Magneto - Mags is a direct counter to Dracula and can really mess up your gameplan at turn 6. When facing against decks like Lockjaw, Sandman, Control and the likes you have to keep in mind of a possible Magneto play at turn 6. With that in mind it still doesn't guarantee that the Mags move wouldn't affect the end results, but it helps in some case scenarios.
- Leech - Leech is in a very good spot in the meta right now with Thanos deck being the most dominant deck of all. Now, Leech depending on when the card is played out of Lockjaw's location can and might not be an issue for this deck. For example, if Leech is revealed after you've played Morbius and Dracula then in such case scenario Leech isn't much of a problem since you already have your gameplan set.
- Shuri decks in general - Shuri decks can and cannot be countered by this deck depending on several factors like locations and if your opponent messed up a play or two. In a case where you can effectively use Morbius or Dracula in a locked-up location then it is likely you'd win against a regular Shuri She Hulk, Red Skull & Task master deck but not against Zola variations. Shuri decks now are just in the top of the top, so keep that in mind. I can say out of experience that I have indeed beaten some Shuri decks, but it's not like the win rate against those decks is high. There are ways of going around such if you indeed plan on playing around Shuri decks which is *Mystique*. Mystique was not added in the deck list just for a more clean and straight forward play, having so many cards just to counter one deck is a problem if you do consider that you're handicapping yourself. Mystique play is pointless if you do not have a Morbius into Mystique play in hand.
- Swarm - Yes, Swarm a card which you have in your own deck is also a problem for the deck in certain case scenarios. For example, against Death Wave and Sandman decks like I stated in the video, if you have multiple Swarms in your hand you're just gambling the Dracula discard at the end of turn 6. Now, there are ways of going around that which is just playing Swarm and avoiding the discard once you see what your opponent is playing around with.
Thanks for the read, and with that in mind I hope you can consider all these factors when playing the deck. If you like what you see then I'd very much appreciate a new subscriber. We have many more decks to showcase, to have a look at my upload schedule you can always check my community posts. Thanks, and have a great week.
