I've been playing Discard for almost two years now. This has been by far the most competitive and fun deck yet.
Currently sitting somewhere in the top 1000 so it's performing in a pretty competitive landscape.
Key to stealing cubes is understanding when to play the discard enablers and when to hold, sometimes that means skippings turns 1,2, or 3.
Perfect play lines for me are:
Turn 1: Miek - He's great to get into the hard-to-reach areas along with Proxima you can get into some locations with upwards of 10-14 power.
Turn 2: Morbius or Colleen if Scorn is in Hand.
Turn 3: Corvus, Gambit or pass, depending on what's in your hand. Always play your discard enablers to the right or left location to grandmaster into the middle. I tend to put gambit in a lane by itself or with Morbius so I know I am hitting him consistently for a second time with Grandmaster.
Turn 4: Dracula
Turn 5: Modok or Gambit, GrandMaster - Don't feel like you need to avoid discarding Modok at any point, the other discard enablers are more important and allow for better turn 5/6 pop offs.
Turn 6: Whatever you have left. Don't forget a Dracula Bluff is an excellent mind game most people tend to give up on the dracula lane when they see Apoc in hand.
Really fun deck once you get the hang of when to discard or pass. Snap conditions are pretty straight forward.
Miek and Corvus feel replaceable, but the rest of the deck is pretty locked in. You can go with a wide board build with Swarm, but I don't think it's as consistent and aims to have a different game plan than this.
I'd love to hear everyone's feedback and if they have had similar success with their discard builds. I am pleased with the state of discard at this time and hope it can remain in this spot.
